Do you have a dream snake?
My spider thread the other day, despite getting more answers than I bargained for, made me feel okay about spinner blasts. So they're up there with coral glows, mystic potions, super pastels... I could go on and on, but I guess I prefer slightly unusual colors.

Unfortunately I don't really have funds for another snake at the moment, so I can only sigh over pictures. I love a lot of Bob Clark's morphs, and Royal Constrictor Designs is super fun to browse. (Or super frustrating if you can't buy anything...)

What would you get if you could have any BP you want?

If it had to be a ball python, I'd say a Banana, Spider, Enchi or an Blue Eyed Luecistic, both of which I expect to own realistically within the next few years.

If I could currently have any snake in the world it would be a second or thir generation Lavender Albino Dwarf Reticulated Python. Love the retic color phases, and love the mid sized dwarf packaging. I have been given the impression that breeding drawrf and super dwarf reticus to mainlands to get the mutations, and then back to the localities helps bring the size back down.

I suppose it doesn't HAVE to be a BP, but I'm always trying to learn new BP morphs so it's educational, too :) ... Oh I forgot to add firefly. Oops. Apparently I really like yellow.

Re: Do you have a dream snake?
I'm currently in the process of working that out. Right now I'm looking for ball pythons to get to breed with my recent hatchlings, and if one of my lesser pastels is a girl and one is a boy I'll be breeding them and trying to propogate my super spinal pattern (straight line connected to the eyebrows and jaw like my one lesser pastel). Mostly after breeding and seeing this line appear in one, almost 2, snakes, I want to start crossing that with other morphs. At the moment I'm really thinking a black pastel pastel with something else needs to come in to get bred with this line.

There are some genes I don't want to work with, but others I'm really excited to

Lol...mine changes just about every 6-8 months. First dream snake was a Bumble Bee. This was back in 2007 when I first into the hobby. I had never seen a BP so bright. It was amazing. I ended up producing my first in 2010.

I have 2 dream snakes and a third dream reptile, all of which I plan to have one day, none of which do I have any room for yet lol
    In any order...
    1. Burm
    2. Retic (fullsize not a dwarf)
    3. Savannah Monitor

    My dream snakes would be;
    Amazon basin emeralds tree boas
Black head python (any of the amazing morphs available)
    Aru Green Tree Python

The bottom two will likely happen in the future, the top one is still up in the air.

    Too many to count!

So far these are the ball python morphs I am dying to have in my collection and the ultimate goals I'm keeping in mind as I select breeding stock.

    Ruby Glow
    Grey Matter
    Panda Pied
    Dreamsicle
    Lightening Pied
    Blue Eyed Leusistic
    Red Eyed Leusistic

For ball pythons, has to be axanthic killer bee... Definitely my favorite BP morph in existence right now!

For ANY snake, I'm getting one of my dream snakes in TWO DAYS! An absolutely beautiful 2007 aru green tree python, exactly the coloration I always wanted, and which I will post pictures of once she's here!

Otherwise, Boelen's Python when I ever have the room and enclosure for that size animal.

Top of my head a sunset pied. I'm glad to have two dream ball pythons already my pied and albino clown. Also with the spider stuff it happens all the time. If you want a spinner blast i say go for it. :gj:

My favourite Ball Python morph has got to be Sunset, and favourite snake .... mhhm, I'm not sure yet, but I would love to have a bigger one one day! No giant, just something a bit more chunky ― but I haven't done enough research yet to settle on something :)

My absolute dream reptile is a black and white argentine tegu though.... Dreaming big, haha

Top of my list would probably be a BEL. I love looking at the white snakes. Though I also like the gray scale coloring for them, so an axanthic is also on my list. I do like the look of the axanthic killer bee but I would still be content with a single morph axanthic.

GHI axanthic, GHI mojave, dreamsicle, and a grey matter would be nice. I come across something new I'd like to have almost every day :tears: I would kill for a blue ball python though.....

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Panda Pied.

A tegu monitor and a blue green tree python would be nice too.

My dream ball python for years has been a banana ball python and I got lucky to get one this year (she just has 3 other genes as well and I think she gorgeous).

My other dream bp I am hoping to get next year if my friend actually gets to produce them like he's hoping: a mystic potion and a clown (along with a female het clown, just not sure what I want to breed out yet I've been looking at a ton of clown morphs and have found too many I like lol)

my other dream snake my husband got me not too long ago: a Sumatran red blood python

I love the dark morphs and lavender albinos. Right now I really want to pick up a GHI Mojave female to pair with my Lavender male. This is my long term breeding goal. I like the Black Axanthic a lot as well.

My dream snake is this five gene combo. I had him as my wallpaper for awhile. It sold for $6,000. If I had that kind of money to throw around and the guy who bought it would sell it to me I'd have it in my collection. Sometimes a particular snake just charms me, that's when I buy it LOL. It would be almost impossible to make another snake like this, you'd need a two gene and three gene combo for parents and then the odds would be 1 in 32. Actually that would be a good project now that I think about it!!!

Leopard + Enchi + Orange Dream + Yellowbelly + Fire

i would not refuse a Stormtrooper, but I'm not a BP guy so I guess these are not the snakes I'm looking for 😉
My other faves would be an albino golden-child super dwarf (50 to 75%) and a pure locality BCC Surinam or Guyana, maybe Peru. Hope to achieve my boa dream by early next year.

I want a Borneo short-tailed python or a blood python. Also a boa constrictor of some type.

I wouldn't mind a smaller snake like a corn snake or a sand boa but those my favorites :D.

I want at least 1 more BP but can't decide which morph. I like axanthics but they tend to brown out as adults. Same with most of the high yellow morphs. I like banana lessers right now but who knows what cool morphs will be around by the time I get another!

ok i'm kinda making this up but my dream snake would be an...

Albino BEL King Cobra with the iridescence of a BRB. :P

Edit: but i would also settle for a Monarch Leopard Killer Clown BP. :)

Well the reason I got into snakes at all was that I saw some pictures of a piebald ball python about five years ago. It took me a few years to get a snake and then a few more to get my first pied bp. Now I have two beautiful pied. There are a few morphs I really want to create, but I am at least partially on the way so I don't really consider them a dream snake. I guess now my dream snake would have to be a Boelen's python.

Panda Pied is mine, but I love the banana, and clown also. I am very excited that my 1.1 pastel het clowns will be ready next season. This year I am hoping for a BEL (butter x pastave). Also have my pied and albino black pastel in a few years too.

Black eyed leucistic, but no yellow spots. Just all white with black eyes and red pupils. I saw it on Mike Willibank's website years ago and I've been obsessed every since. There's plenty of other morphs I want, but that is the top of my list.

Question out of curiosity, how does a BLACK eyed leucistic have red eyes? Wouldn't that ""just"" be a spotless albino?

The eyes aren't red, the pupils are. I have no idea how the genetics work other than that it's a super fire, I think ember, and spider-pied has a chance of making one from my research.

Man, there are so many I want... I'll try to keep the list small and stick with ball python morphs though :P

If I had unlimited funds this is probably how my purchase list would go...

1.) Tri-Stripe! One of my most coveted recessive projects :)
2.) Fire Hurricane, though I'm not sure they've even been produced
3.) Super Enchi Super Orange Dream
4.) Vanilla Cream and/or Super Fire
5.) Desert Ghost and Ultramel combo morphs

I'm one of those people who absolutely adore the black eyed leucistic complex and honestly I think there is a TON of potential in the coming years for those types of morphs. Everyone is so focussed on the blue eyed lucies and their allelic complexes, which are beautiful (don't get me wrong), but can you imagine more allelic Fire combos? Vanilla creams are in my opinion one of the most striking of allelic complexes and I have confidence there are more genes out there with the potential to add to the complex in similar ways... Not to mention the potential with high patterned and colored super fires!

But it that's enough ranting for me, I could go on forever about how under-appreciated the black eyed leucistic complex is😅

When i got my first bp i saw a lot of morphs i really liked, but i loved the spinner blast, so he was my first. My husband really loved the firefly morph, so i got an enchee firefly, we both love what the enchee does. My next girl will probublly be one of the purple rain combos being bred by iball pythons, that gene does some neat things to the other morphs hes using. i would also love a coral glow or a coral glow/pastel girl, and maybe add a blue eye lucy. Just need to find the space and money.

Well I've put a down payment on a banana male so that'll be one off my list. He's gonna get breed to my pinstripe and hopefully make a banana pinstripe, and that will be another. Maybe a banana pied or something clown.

Hmm so many and constantly changes. I've been lucky enough to cross many off my wish list, the most recent being my BEL labyrinth burm. As far as bp go, I was obsessed with pieds when I was younger and they seemed like something I'd never be able to afford. I now have 4 in my collection and hopefully hatching CG pieds soon. There are less expensive snakes I still want to own one day but at this point am waiting until we move next summer if it's just going to be a display snake like a rainbow boa.

My main dream snake was a granite burm. When my exotics petshop had one in stock, I literally fell in love with her. Sooo I brought my little Skittles home. She isn't so little any more though!!

My new dream species would be a GTP/ETB. Buuuttt it's gonna be a while until I have enough room to get one of those.

As for dream ball pythons, I really want a pied, banana/lavender/anything like those, a purple passion and a BEL. But those are a few, I literally have a whole list if morphs on a word doc simply called 'I want'.
Someday in the future, maybe all the morphs on there will be ticked off :D
