    Breeding season 2016 in progress...
I had no luck with my first 3 clutches, but now my luck is kickin back in :-)

Clutch#5 - EnchiLesser & CinniLeo pos het Pied x Pewterbee

6 eggs were laid, one went bad during incubation.

The first look was pretty promissing

And then they finally left the egg yesterday, well except for one animal.

    Stinger & Pastel pos Enchi

My thoughts are Enchi Queen Bee pos Cinni - love it!

And here a shot of these first 4 who left the egg. That LeoBumblebee is quite a suprise to me, cause the CinniLeo was only a few hours with the Pewterbee female. But he got the job done in no time. I shall call him 'sexmachine' from now on :-)

Looking forward to your opinions. I've never hatched anything similar to a Queen Bee Combo, so if you know more, let me know :-)

I think a few meals and sheds will bring some light to the genetics of the outstanding animal.

Best of luck to all of your projects,

Finally, the last one is out. Looks like a funky Cinnabee.
I think the Leo would have messed up the pattern more but i'm not 100% sure.
    Opinions welcome.

Wait, so if you breed multiple males to a single female she can inherit genes from both?

inherit? One sperm fertilizes one egg to make one baby. If there are multiple eggs and many sperm from different males or all the same male, each egg will take one sperm to make the final product. One egg cannot take two sperm though.

Yes, a female can store sperm from different males for about a year or so. Therefore you could get a fertile clutch from a female that hasn't been paird to a male in the current season, but had been in the last season. Theoredicly every egg could have a different father.

Waiting for the first shed. Those two will stay with me for sure :-)

    Sad news.
I hatched a beautiful Cinni Ravenclaw a week ago (world first). I was very happy with the outcome.
Yesterday i found the animal dead :-( Had no signs of problems, it was only the last that crawled out of the egg. About 7 days after the first one did. Now i'm pretty devastated. But sadly that's life.
I think i'll try this pairing again next season, cause it looked just awesome and i already miss it.
think positive, think positive, think positive, thi.......

That's so awesome! I'm so pumped to get my first eggs and my first babies. I have my first female possibly with eggs, just shed so I'm counting down the days. Hopefully she will actually lay some eggs and hopefully I'll get my first babies this year! Next year I should have at least three more females ready to breed, so maybe four clutches next year if all goes well... I'm thinking of holding back most or all of the females to get my breeding program off of the ground. Are you planning on holding some of these back or selling them? I'm sure once you really get going it's a tough decision every year, I would want to keep them all!

What a coincidence, my gravid girl also shed last night. Looks like I might be getting a visit from the Easter bunny XD

I've managed to keep only 2 snakes from last year.
The Cinning Queen male and a Super Enchi Lesser pos. Blaze female. That SEL girl had like 21 gramms when she crawled out. Right now she's at about 180 gramm. But as you may red erlier, i've had a pretty bad year besides those 2 examples. Even had a clutch, where out of 7 babys that initially crawled out, only 1 made it past 3 month. pretty frustrating. but every bad year mostly is followed by one good.
Good luck with your breeding plans :-)
