    My "Rescued" BP
So he's in too good of shape to be considered a rescue, but given time with the lady who had him he wouldn't have gone long before developing some problems. I'm just glad she realized that and put him up for sale.

Here are some pics now that his shed is completed.

The cage with him soaking inside the tote yesterday

Then him this morning after the shed was complete.

I'll be keeping him long enough to make sure all is well and that he's eating, then he'll be up for sale.

Nice setup. Too bad you can't keep the little guy, he's cute.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind, but I'm not a huge BP fan, and I told my wife I wasn't gonna be getting more snakes for a while! She likes him, but we just got the package deal to keep the cage and get the BP to a better house.

Get a small rubbermaid like container. Put about 1-2" water or a little more if he's an adult and then put the snake inside with lid on (make sure there is some air ventilation). Then put the container back into the cage on the warm side and leave for an hour. Gently wipe off any shed that hasn't already fallen off, make sure to be gentle. If it doesn't all come off repeat the following day. Since this is somewhat new to you, check out the caresheets on the ball python....

Follow Tigerlilly's advice, that's the same thing I did for this lil guy. Just make sure you put something in there with the snake for them to secure themselves to (like a hand towel) and make sure the water isn't so deep that the snake has to swim, or it will eventually tire and drown. It should be deep enough to cover a good portion of their body, but allow their body to rest on the bottom still.

Cool; I bet he is glad you rescued him ;)
I'm in the same boat; rescued 3 BPs and cannot keep them. I rehabbed them and am selling them to the right person (as soon as I find that person, lol.)

LOL, funny lil story behind the twenty...
By no means am I bringing in the bucks. Me and my wife just got married in December, are both full time students and pay our own way for school (no loans so far) so we are on a pretty tight budget. If the cage hadn't been such a steal I would never have it. So I go to take pics of the snake and say "We need something in there for size reference, like a dollar bill or something" So she whips out a twenty. I'm like how many you got in there....anyways, probably funnier if you know how good she is with money and never spending a dime and then BOOM she has a bunch of twenties in her purse.

Back on topic now. Yeah the cage was a steal at $125 snake included. Now to find the right owner for the snake so it doesn't end up in another crappy house. Easier said than done here in Utah where the herp lovers are few and far between. More importantly will be getting this guy eating first, I'm guessing from his timidness that it might be a bit of a challenge.

Good news...He ate last night. I was a bit worried due to how scared/stressed he has seemed to be, but was feeding my others last night and thought I'd toss him a meal as well. He wasn't interested in it when I had it dancing with the tongs, but left alone he took care of it.

Congrats on the successful feeding! He's a very nice looking snake. I love his pattern. Dang wish I was closer.
