    Our new ATB Athena
We expanded our collection once again. My girlfriend has been pushing for months to get an ATB. Knowing my obsession with carpets she thought that I would enjoy having a truly arboreal snake. As it turn out she was right. We got our first ATB. She is a female that we named Athena. We are unsure of her age but she is definitely young. Weighting in at only 25 grams. I only got a few pictures since she will be settling in but I have to share.

I'm the girlfriend that begged for little Athena lol. I thought she'd be full of piss and vinegar, but she's surprisingly tame for an ATB. A bit nippy when startled, but quite content once she's out. We couldn't be happier! More mods coming for her enclosure soon to make her feel more at home!

We'll be looking for a reptile safe aerosol paint for her perches for a more naturalistic look. If anyone has recommendations, we're all ears!

I scorched and twisted the pvc in my ATB cages, there's some more info and pics in this thread if you want to check it out as an option instead of painting:

AbsoluteApril that is awesome! I have never seen that before but I will definitely be trying it. We use a lot of PCV perches for the carpets and now the ATB and I love that look. Thank you for that. I see you have a C clamp on the bottom holding the PCV. I assume once it's hot you grab the top with vice grips and then twist?

The clamp was simply to hold the pvc upright to make it easier for myself, you can hold the ends and twist with your hands, it doesn't get super hot. :)
edit to add - you can see I usually left the very tips alone (still white) which helps as well and ensures they sit in the caps correctly

AbsoluteApril - Ok, that sounds good. I wasn't sure exactly how it works. I will be finding out soon though. Thank you for the idea and insight. Thank you Ziggy and Fraido :) she is beautiful for sure. She is pretty awesome. She took a f/t pinky last night for the first time without hesitation. She was on live before we got her. Here is a pic of her eating and her final enclosure set up.

    Re: Our new ATB Athena
So we have had Athena for 3 weeks so far. She settled in very well and has had two meals with us so far. She has a typical boa feeding response and does not hesitate when she smells food. She is very docile and will not even defensively strike unless there is fast movement. We had her outside today for a quick photo shoot so I thought I would share. We also discovered that she has a multi colored tongue which I find awesome.
