I joined the bite club!!

Well, there it is!! My first bite. On my face XD Tbh, its about time, I've owned snakes for just over a year now and have 5. I was literally counting down the days, after the little cornsnake struck out!

But I was no bit by the corn snake, no, the Burmese bit me. I was getting her out of her viv to go and feed her, and I guess she was too hungry or annoyed at me petting her. Either way, she still bit me XD


It didn't hurt, and instead of like crying or something I was laughing and told my mum to get the camera and get a pic before she helped me clean it.

Definitely don't want that happening when she gets big!

ouch. seems to me you took it like a champ though. lol you live and learn.

Luckily it missed your eye although you wear glasses ..

Please me you stopped taking the Burm out of the Viv to feed it !! I've never understood that idea .

I realise that this is an oldish thread but it's useful to show what can happen when you try to move a snake from its Viv to feed in a different place !!

It will happen !!!

It took me a few years before my first bite ( baby boa I think ) but I get bit every six months or so now , whenever I get complacent !!

Hahaha, wanting to join the club!!! That's awesome!!! Leave it to snake keepers to practically celebrate our first bite! It's almost like a right of passage, like in Goodfellas when they congratulate Henry and celebrate him getting pinched!!! Don't worry, I'm sure you're not leaving this hobby for a long time, so your day will come tttaylorrr, hahaha!

Hahaha, right??
She still doesn't love the snakes, especially Tyson, my BP. But she has admitted he's grown on her. And she does think the adopted hognose, Cosmo is super cute. She does like my Cali King, Django, though. Ironically, he was the one to get her. I think she was more forgiving because it was him, hahaha!! Plus, she knew she spooked him. But yeah, she's come a long way. I'm lucky she has been so cool with me getting back into the hobby.

Omg does she have 20 teeth? Lol

I read somewhere that Royal pythons have around 300 teeth ?!?!?
