Thanks everyone for your replies! So almost everyone I have shown this little guy to has said that it has leopard or some kind of pattern morph. The interesting thing is that this guy was produced by pairing a Pastel to a Mojave. It's not a pastave, so it's just a pastel as far as I know. To complicate matters much more, this same pairing produced a BEL last year and I was attempting to prove that it wasn't a case of retained sperm or Parthenogenesis by repeating the pairing. Even worse, last year only one of 6 eggs made it full term and this year 7 of 8 eggs died during incubation. The male did sire another clutch last year and there were a few interesting babies, but nothing like this. Here is a pic of the mom and dad.

Looks like a Pastel Jungle to me, every now and than people will hatch them, they are not genetic however, jungle is just a wacky pattern.

Any chance that pastel has Russo het luecistic? That might explain the crazy pattern and the bel.

That's definately on my short list of probable possibilities. I didn't think its would mess with the pattern that much though. I guess I'll just have to wait another year and repeat the pairing again to get a better idea of what it going on.

You certaintly may be correct, but I've seen my fair share of jungle type pastels and this one looks different enough to make me wonder if it's something different. It's not just the wacky pattern that stands out to me, the black is very black and the yellows are very bright, the blushing and flames are pretty extreme too. In the end it may be just a neat looking pastel, but I'm seeing enough to make me hang on to it and figure it out. He just had his first shed and looks pretty awesome, I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Could be, it will be nice to see when it sheds and it never hurt to hold it back and see if something comes out of it in the future.

I know I commented on this thread before, but unless you have some kind of crazy incubator thing going, I am thinking there has to be more there than pastel. I would be giggling and wringing my hands together like a mad scientist if that popped out of my incubator.
