    The proud parents:

    Eggs:

Woo hoo: I hope they're good and they hatch.

Btw, name suggestions for parents would be appreciated..they have no names..and they are the ones I traded a big black hairy tarantula for.

Oh yeah, he turns a deeper more chocolate color of brown, but it's hard to catch him that dark on film. She's pretty yellow when she's at her best.

Very cool! I hope the eggs turn out for you. Chances are they will be fine. It's great how easy they are.

As for names, how about Pancho and Lefty? ;)

Well, I dunno if I'll be geting more eggs out of the pair.

Saturday morning, he looked like this:

Looks like she bit his nose...they were making a lot of noise, so I've seperated them.

Hmm ... maybe they just need more space? What size enclosure were they in together?

They probably need more space. 24 by 12 by 12. I'm going to keep them seperated for a bit, until I can get things worked out. They were fine until after she laid that first set of eggs...maybe she wanted a break?

It could be that he was ready to, er, go again before she was, and she was just telling him to back off. It wouldn't surprise me. Maybe just separate them for a couple of weeks and see how they respond when reintroduced?

give them plenty of cover egg flats, cork bark, branches, leaves, etc. you know the females are capable of sperm retention right! you can get more eggs! i pull my males out around sept. and can get eggs up to dec.!!!

Yeah, I expect at least one more set of eggs out of Nip and Blush, even though Blush is living quietly by himself at the moment. Nip seems like she won't tolerate any other gecko with her at the moment.

So now I have 6 geckos, living in 6 different containers... (not exactly what I had in mind when I started with cresteds :P )

Nip is aptly named, it seems. :) Can anyone else be consolidated?

I think I can put Swami in with Peaches, but I want to give Swami at least a few days by herself...as she was the guinea pig for a bit last night. She wasn't in with Nip (Nip didn't get named that until last night and after she bit Blush on the nose). for that long last night, but she was quite panicked. (I removed her as soon as I heard the noise).

Dreki and Blush are my two males. The unnamed orange younger one (which does seem to be a girl...thought I had a male for a bit), is small enough that it should be housed seperated..everybody else is of simliar size.

I just moved Peaches into a different housing style (big rubbermaid like the rest now, no more KK)..she seems to be a little more high strung than the others and she won't eat bugs at all. Becuase Peaches won't take insects, I am leary of putting her with a gecko that will..even if I give her a dish of CGD and drop in bugs for the other one.

I still have 6 geckos all living in mansions. There is a significant weight difference between Peaches and Swami, so I'm going to leave them serperated for quite a while.

First batch of eggs molded. They accidently got soaked sometime last week and I guess I didn't get enough of the moisture out. Oh well, I'm not sure they were fertile anyway.

I'm more tempted to introduce Dreki to Nip for a little while and see how things go.

I gave Peaches away a couple of days ago. Hopefully her current owner can get some weight back on her. (She was free and I explained everything before I made the offer. New owner has several cresties herself, but they are mostly males).

Now I have 5 geckos. I am really thinking of getting out of the geckos soon. Lizards are just too much work with everything else going on right now.

Nip looks like she's going to drop eggs in a couple of weeks....hopefully before I go on vacation, otherwise I'll have to leave some very detailed instructions for one of my friends concerning that as well.

At the moment, I'm still planning on going on vacation, my health is still not the best :(

I hope you enjoy your vacation. It sounds like you could really use it! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you have eggs before you leave, so you'll have one less thing to worry about. C'mon eggies!

good luck with the eggs. go ahead and make up the incubation container so someone just has to put the eggs inside.

    Re: Eggsssssssssss! (dial up warning)
Those eggs went bad (since all my friends had to do is find them and put them in the incubator, I'm not blaming the geckos or myself on that batch). I had one more set of eggs before I sold them all (to a good friend) and one of those eggs is indeed fertile! I think the other eggs I have gotten were all infertile. So if all goes well, I will still have one gecko.

Update: I sold all of the colony except peaches to a good friend, and they are doing very well. I gave Peaches to another friend and she is doing great. apparently she likes to hang out on the glass and tease the cats. At this point all of them are scarfing down bugs and putting on weight very well. Nip lost a tail after being shipping, but is doing fine.

I still have that one egg from Nip and Blush. It hasn't hatched yet but it's been getting bigger. I'm not sure it's ever going to hatch or if the gecko is going to make it.
