Re: Humidity way too high.
I have the same issue with my tub, humidity is too high.... The only fix I have found is opening it now and then for 5min that fixes it for a few hours..... Holes might work, I'm not sure, if anyone knows a better solution please share!

Re: Humidity way too high.
Cyprus mulch as the substrate.
Re: Humidity way too high.
Air/heat dry the substrate in advance so it starts out in the enclosure maybe too dry and mist gradually until the humidity is at the desired level.

Re: Humidity way too high.
This is an older thread but I figured I'd post here before starting a new one.
Also dealing with essentially the exact same issue and per the above poster's comments I don't want to drill any holes in my T8 since it will probably lead to lower humidity than I want after a bit.
Is there anything I can do to help dry it out in the meantime? Should I blow a fan into the cage? Would it be better to have the glass doors on but with space on the left and right sides, or to remove the doors completely?
Re: Humidity way too high.
I’m also gonna hitch hike on this thread. Just put my Dumeril’s in a new 4x2 and her humidity is over 90%😱 From what most have said, it will drop over the next week or so?
Re: Humidity way too high.
Lol it will drop after a few days-a week, had the same experience when I first got a boaphile and put fresh cypress in there. What I do now is pour the cypress into one of my temporary tubs, let it sit uncovered and mix it around a couple times. In a day or so it lets out the initial crazy moisture and it's good to go
