Re: Bredli defecation query
My carpets have gone 2 feeds without pooping before. Could he also be getting ready to shed? Sometimes they'll delay defacating until after a shed.

Re: Bredli defecation query
Thanks, he hasn't turned blue nor has his eyes gotten cloudy, i'll keep an eye on him just incase. I give him a soak every alternate day to make sure the mites don't come back.
Re: Bredli defecation query
Hey, he finally pooped! i was soaking him to continue the mite treatment and he just let it rip. it was after his second feed though.
i'm not sure if he's in shed or not, how can you tell? his eyes haven't gone cloudy. It's easy to tell with the cornsnakes.

That's good to hear! At least that takes the worry out of your mind. I know when my carpets shed I can tell because they become really dull looking and they don't want to come out of their hides. From what I've seen on mine their eyes will go blue but I've never seen them as opaque as I have our balls.

I saw that in your post before terminal. I guess I've just never caught them at that point in shed. Probably because once I see them go cloudy I try to not bother them in their hides.

I usually leave them alone as well but someone had started a thread about posting pictures of ghostly pre shed eyes so that was my excuse for disturbing him while in this state. I assured him I would never do it again. We'll probably anyway. lol

Lol I understand that. It looks more snippy on writing than it was intended. I just meant that mine disappear until they are done unless they get feed in which case they will come out. So I just play with the other kids then. :)

I know what you meant. lol But you know that they don't want to be messed with while in this state and I like you almost always oblige. Like Reinz says they look just miserable while in shed.
