Eggs
Hi everyone! Been awhile. I woke up this morning to 10 eggs, all good veins. Mom is a fire and two sires, banana PH clown, and a fire. 35 days after her pre-lay shed. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...ff55078ca8.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a4be63afc3.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...bb5f559656.jpg

That's freaking awesome!! Two sires? How does that work? I've heard that you can have a mix of eggs, some from each father, have you found that to be true? Do you rotate males in or put them both in at once? WOW

Re: Eggs
You rotate them in. The males would get a little agitated. And yes, last year I had a double sire, I had a firefly and a black eyed Lucy hatch out. And the sires were a pastel and the same fire father. But the two sires genes do not mix into one egg

That is totally amazing, I can't believe I learn something new on this website almost every single day. I may have to rotate all of my males through all of my females HA! I'm still a couple years away from getting eggs as my snakes are too young, at least my ball pythons. I may get a few clutches of king snakes next year.

Re: Eggs
There's always more to learn. Just make sure to give the dam a couple week break in between. Some breeders even only do once a shed cycle, I'm paranoid and do more often. And when I think ovulation is close, I pair more often. Kings are neat, I like the variety, next on my list is a burm I think, Tough to find them around here though.

Re: Eggs
That's the hope, i want a super fire holdback. Thanks everyone. I can't wait, I'll keep everyone posted as the eggs develop. I was bad the other day and opened them up, told myself I wanted to make sure condensation wasn't dripping on them. They looked fine.. Ha!

Re: Eggs
http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...04f6336bfa.jpg its been a couple weeks now and the eggs look a little like they're very unevenly calcified, a little worried. Added some extra water just in case its a humidity issue and will order a new hydrometer, mine reads 99%. All the eggs still candle great, even saw a couple move!

Re: Eggs
http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...858b43da52.jpg day 48 now, getting anxious. Fixed he humidity issue, pressnseal had to be replaced, wasn't sticking very well. Eggs look much better but never became as soft as they were, so worried about them being able to natural pip, thinking of cutting on day 52, opinions?

Re: Eggs
Day 52 is still too early to cut IMO. Cutting should occur at day 55 , or after the first hatchling pips. Unless you feel there is a real threat and you need to cut. Just candle for now and check for movement. Stay the course with your temps and humidity for now. Just my opinion. I think you have droplets from the condensation that's been dripping on the eggs.

Re: Eggs
Forgot to mention been incubating at 89 degrees. No water marks, eggs don't have marks of any kind anymore, the other pic was when they started to get a little dry, even though probe still read 99%. Thanks for your thoughts!

That's the problem, I don't think they'll be able to, when it got a little dry, they toughened up a little. I'm worried they won't be able to.

I would suggest doing as reccomended before, wait for day 55..then cut.

I'd cut at 55 but that's mostly because I want to see a super fire ;)
