What type of set up do you have?
As the title says, what type of terrarium set up do you have? Pictures would be a nice help!
I'm very curious as to what other people use, and if you have a custom built terrarium, etc. It would probably give me better ideas for my set ups too!
Please share!

Tubs in a rack. I have too many animals for anything else to work.
-
I have a home made rack at the moment. But i really want to switch to plastic vivs stacked. Only problem is the cost. If I could get ap cages here then it would be a lot cheaper but the ones I've been looking at in the UK for what I want are £450 each. 2 snakrs per vivs as they have dividers in the middle. 12 snakes = 6 vivs = £2700 which is about $3, 900 if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, I want to custom make something like a ap cages, or maybe like vivs, or just build a sturdy stand for my tanks, but I don't want something too high due to harder for me to clean and currently I'm in a room with a very low ceiling, and on top of the money towards making or buying one.
Also if I have cages custom built like that, I don't know how I'd use or where to put the lamps.

i have two vivariums, happily housing my Normal girl and my Mojave boy.

i have another Animal Plastics rack also and a Boaphile hatchling rack that's not in use right now. i plan on getting another rack and one of those new D8's.
Edit: OMG my rack used to be so empty. lol!

Looks like a nice rack! I may just be stupid on this, but what's a D8 exactly?

it's what i playfully call a PVC enclosure made by one of our fellow forumers - AKA Dave. it's a play on the T8 name.
he makes these in various sizes:

Edit: my homemade rack is nice and sturdy and most importantly, it works! :) i would make it differently if i had to do it over tho.

Does he still make them? I like them a bit more than the t8..just in the way the glass opens.

Too many in my collection to use anything other than racks...

Question- If I were to home make a stand, could I turn the tanks on its side, so the front/lid is facing front? Would that be alright to do?
-
I have some tub from walmart, i wanted to build from pvc sheets like axo1 or abs, but i can't find those in my area so im probably gonna do something with melamine, just wondering how im i going to heat it, thinking, melamine, uth, and pexiglass on top of that, but i dunno, dont want the uth inside.

would u be tipping it to make it taller? ive seen peeps do this but keep in mind that this changes the weight distribution of the tank. like it might be top heavy, so u gotta really secure the base to make sure it won't tip over. also U gotta really secure the lid so it won't fall off.

are u building a multilevel rack? or just 1 enclosure. i would use heat tape for a rack and heat mat for a single tank or enclosure. u can buy it prewired or wire I yourself. Reptile Basics and Bean Farm are some good retailers for this. u won't need plexiglass if u intend to use a tub on the rack. just place the tub on top of the heat tape.

It'd be flat on the side like this(I used a ten gallon I keep in handy as an example) My only problem would be lighting(Since I use that especially for the heat)

Depends, it gets pretty hot and humid here sometimes in the spring/summer nights, sometimes in the fall too. Typically I used the black/night lightbulb. I've been too afraid to use the heat mats, especially since I don't have a thermostat and use paper towels as substrate(for the moment)

Rack system with minimalistic setups for each tub
-
Racks... racks... racks... everything from 6-qt hatchling through a home-build that takes 54-qt under-bed tubs for boas up to 6'.
Stacks - T8, Monster, and Boamasters from three through eight feet.

Do you have to add a hide for them? Like one in the cooler side and one in the warmer side? And how big of tubs are you using for your ball pythons?

IMO side access is nice, but it's not much of an advantage. usually when peeps change the orientation of their enclosures it's to repurpose it for height for say geckos or arboreal pythons. as u mentioned, u will lose your main source of heat now by laying it on it's side.
also here's another enclosure and how i set-up one of my tubs. you can still achieve the looks of vivs in a tub. losta plants and decorations.

I'm thinking of either building a DIY stand for my enclosures and I think tilting it like that would give me the easy access, or I'm sure I have enough wood to build at least one, maybe even two stacked enclosures. Unsure of this though, although I think i'm just gona build a DIY terrarium stacked and hopefully soon- since my first rescue, Ryuu and Orochi are caged together. I mean, they're fine with each other but as someone told me a reason why Orochi may not be eating is that he's too stressed being caged with her(although I've never had a problem before). Also, Ryuu may be pregnant so that puts it in a more so need to separate them.
Also, that looks like a nice set up!
Update: any ideas of how to use a heat mat safely with a custom built enclosure with mostly wood?
