12 eggs, most I've seen in my own rack
This girl seems to always have surprises for me. She is a plain ol pastel that I first bred around 1300g and laid 8 eggs, by the next year she was tipping 2000 grams and laid 9 eggs. Couple more years she took the spot as my biggest BP. Still laying 8-9 eggs. Well this year she decided to lay a few more. Most I've seen previously in my own racks was the 9 from her. 12 plump white eggs was pretty awesome to see. She was bred to a super lesser, not exactly a super exciting pairing, but the high blushing lessers and high blushing pastels they have thrown separately made me want to see how they would do together.

Wow Owal, maybe it's a combination of retained sperm and the recent pairing with the super lesser that increased the egg count. Possibly a mixed sired clutch. I have a virgin pastel het pastel pied clutch in the incubator now. She laid 7 eggs as her first. Fantastic clutch on your end and hope to see what pops out of those eggs. Congrats.

No doubt, I think she is the perfect candidate for one of my possible super pins next year. Start proving/disproving males in one clutch if she keeps this up.

Yup, weight isn't the only factor in egg count
