I have not. Recently though, i heard it recommended and it definitely sounds plausible. I am considering it with my next clutch. :)

I've done it with all my clutches. However, I like to incubate at about 87.5 degrees.

I do. I take them from their incubation tub and move them to one with damp paper towels as they crawl out of the eggs.

After they hatch do you keep your incubator at 88-90 degrees? Or do you lower the temp a little?

I'm scared they'll wrap around the incubator's heat coils

I keep it at 89 degrees since there are other clutches incubating. After they shed they get their own bins in the baby rack.

They're in a container with damp paper towels and a water bowl.

I am only in my first breeding season but I am not gonna leave them in the incubator.

I some how do not feel comfortable with that not because of the temperatures ofcourse but because of the air the babies need, yes ofcourse there are some holes in the egg box (which are taped over now) but there are no holes in the incubator itself, knowing myself that would mean I would feel the need to open the incubator every day at least twice to let some fresh air and oxygen in what would cause the temperatures to drop.

I know I could very well be paranoid and that the oxygen is more then enough I just don't feel that comfortable with it

If I am being paranoid feel free to fix me :D :gj::gj:

The other thing I will do and have done for years is making sure that once the first one crawls out of the egg they get a water bowl. I can't tell you how many people I've seen not having a water bowl for their babies. I'm not saying its needed or bad that they don't but it just seems like babies will burn through their yolk faster than others so they'd need the hydration sooner.

I leave mine in their egg tub until the come out of the egg.
As they come out they get moved into their own 3qt tub with water and hide.
I also mist the tubs to keep humidity high until their first shed.
