Pixel Pied x Black Pastel Pied update

Well I thought I had seen an ovulation on my gal, but that was back in Feb so she would have laid by now and although she was heat seeking at very first she quickly started started showing more building behaviours and developed a nice roundness to her. I've kept pairing her since I wasn't 100% on that last ovulation (she's tricked me in the past) but since Feb she was showing no interest in the male and I didn't see any locks in months. However this morning I guess she changed her mind. So still hoping of an ovulation and eggs soon!

For those of you on the 'wait list' for any pixel pied I still have the list so keep your fingers crossed! I will be keeping the best female from this clutch but the others will be up for grabs. This is my one and only pairing/project at the moment so I do have my eggs in one basket so to speak. Next season I hope to have a pied het albino female ready for him see if I can prove out his albino side (he's 66% het albino) and get an albino piexl pied!

Thanks! I'm going to be hovering over those eggs like a nervous momma! But the incubator has been on since Feb and the temp and humidity has been rock steady to everything should be smooth sailing on calm waters. (still going to be a nervous wreck)

Has she already laid or Ovulated?

Nope. This lock is just from this morning.

EDIT: by the wait I mean the fact that I got her back when she was just 100 gram little worm. ;)

For a while there she had no interest in the male, now they lock up every time I put them together. She's getting very big! Hope to catch an ovulation soon!

This has to be a good sign. This is how she curled up tonight after her day of lock. She spilled a large amount of that water when getting comfy, but I dare not mess with her right now, she's gotta look that says...'bring it'. By the way this is the side of her face I keep forgetting to photograph, this side looks more like a normal, the other side looks all black pastel, which gave her the name 'two-face' from the breeder (renamed to Nibiru)

Okay, I think we've got it this time! She just shed, looking all huge, refusing food, and curled up on the hot side! Time for the 27-ish day wait! And then the even longer 60 day wait! The incubator has been on for months and holding temp and humid perfectly...although I will probably change out the substrate since it's a few months old now just in case.

Thank you all! I have heard of waits much longer than 27 days...but I'm gonna secretly freak out anyway. ;)

About two more weeks left to go...there is a very real possibility that she will lay on my birthday! That would be the best present ever! ;)

Thank you! I was *devastated* last year when I lost her first clutch to an incubator accident. I have a whole new incubator now that's been humming perfect for months...but I'm still going to be a nervous momma until I see some pipping!

About a week to go before eggs and then the *really* nerve wracking wait! It's all well and good when they are in momma, but once they are out they become my responsibility!
