Things to help pass the time while waiting for eggs to hatch...
    1. Rearrange your blood python room. Both of them. Twice.

    2. Archive & cross-index the 50,000+ images on your hard drive.

    3. Work on website.

    4. Clean more cages.

    5. Pull hair out...or think about it, anyway.

    6. Discover the excruciating satisfaction of increasing your range of motion in deadlifts & squats.

    7. Enjoy the drama-free world of ball-pythons.net

    Um...

    Any other suggestions?

This is the ANTSY time of year!

Invent new uses for the hula hoop? Play floor hockey? Count the specks on the ceiling? Think of new things to think of? Sorry not much help....

Get camera ready so you can take lots of photos for us to see? Good luck!

    1. browse the net for more herps to acquire.

    2. rearrange the herp room to make space for newly acquired herps.

    3. rearrange the herp room again to make room for the herps acquired after the newly acquired herps.

    4. convince husband that the second round of newly acquired herps were actually part of the plan all along (yeeeeah right!)

    5. go back to #1 and repeat

    :D

Powerlifter?? I was really into that for a while. Kinda hard not to get into it when you go to Louisiana Tech University..... 12+ time national collegiate national champs :) I actually had the pleasure of being on the team for a year and got to be there for a championship. Pretty cool stuff.

Take pictures of the existing babies :P

    Clean the house

Go through all the music on your hard drive, and rename it properly and throw out the songs you don't want.....

Well, those are some of the things I would do....

LOL...I wouldn't call myself a powerlifter *yet,* but definitely have my goals! It's certainly addicting to consistently try to beat your own personal "best." :strong: :strong:

Well I've never waited for a snake egg to hatch but here's some things I did while on bed rest waiting for our last child to be "hatched" LOL

Watch the Animal Planet endlessly. Stop when you become overly interested in the mating rituals of tortoises!

Try to figure out what DOES rhyme with orange.

Make up 6 new jokes about Martha Stewart (this is actually fun anytime of the year!)

Good luck with the eggs Kara and hey if all else fails....you could just stand there and chant....hatch you lil boogerheads...hatch already!;)

I'd reorganize my music collection and burn a CD of the most obnoxious 80's tunes (along the lines of the Footloose soundtrack) then play them on the computer speakers and have an obnoxious dance off with work associates.... not who can dance the best, but who has the absolute worst moves or can do the most horrific dance. If the room falls silent you've found a winner.
    :)
I'm telling you having "worst dance" contests is a blast.

    1) wish I had eggs to hatch.

    Maybe next year.

    But while I'm waiting..

    2) hang out on bp.net
    3) cruise the net and kingsnake classifieds for snakes to add to my wishlist
    4) save money for more snakes/other herps
    5) hope no more of my snakes get sick/give up eating. *sigh*

Heh. I'm waiting for my crested gecko pair to lay eggs. Since they were together a bit before I got them, I don't know if she's gravid or not. I don't think she is yet....

Hey Kara got some more ideas for ya....

You could get in your car and drive to lovely northern Michigan and help me obsess about running to read the AccuRite!!! ;)

When we aren't busy doing that we can make up more I-Hate-Martha-Stewart jokes for fun and profit.

And if any time is left over (and how could there be with such fun things to do!) we can figure out how to humanely life trap the constantly producing kittens feral female cat that lives in the forest around the house. A bit tricky since I really DON'T want to live trap either the skunk or the opposum who also like to ramble around our yard every evening.

Gee all this fun stuff to do in the forests of northern Michigan...how can you resist!!!!

    ~~Joanna~~

P.S. If I do manage to trap either Mr. Skunk or Mz. Opposum I swear I'm dropping them off as "rescues" to our local Humane Society who won't do a thing about this poor cat or the babies she is making season after season

You could come out here to western NY and help my boyfriend chop wood. Him and his brother in law almost got squished by a giant hemlock yesterday.
(you rural people who are thinking "but hemlock does not burn well" rest assured; it was not even a tree they were trying to chop! Now get back out there and put those clothes on the line outside and yell at the coondog.)

Holy crapsack!!!! YES!!!! I have driven through Boogerhollow. I won't say how many years it's been (more than 10, less than 20), but man oh man!!!! Thank you for posting this - it brings back fond memories of an awesome camping trip.

Wow, that is awesome. I must go there before I die!
I guess the coondog must be neutered or spayed. Or lonely.
