    New Leopards
ok, this is a follow-up to my guess this morph thread of my new BP here: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...What-s-this-BP

i recently got this pair of 1.1 sibiling Leopards. the pairing was a proven 0.1 Leopard double het Axanthic and het Pied with a larger ringer to a 1.0 Albino Pied and 1.0 Clown het Pied. who it's kinda who's yo daddy situation here lol. so that would make this pair 66% het Pied and 50% het Axanthic, plus either 100% het Albino or 100% het Clown.

anyway first up is the crazy looking 0.1 Leopard i named Furious or Fury. the breeder believes that he's triple het b/c his pattern is so different from other normal Leopards. i hope he is triple het and intend to prove it out. besides his sister who's het, i have Pieds, an Axanthic, Clown and Albino to pair him with.

look at his eyes. so cool. his eyes dilate from narrow slivers to full round pupils depending on lighting. he looks to have Lesser or Mojave but has none of those genes in his lineage. hopefully just a crazy triple het.

his name is a play on Fiyero b/c he's my Fieyro "superform."

he came to me at just under 190grams.

that's his sis is in the background.

    welcome home Fury. :)

and this is his sister that i named Sillipede. i hope she's het for one or two recessives as well. she's a lil cutie. :)

she was 160-lpus grams upon arrival.

    welcome home Silli girl. :)

i'm really happy with these two. Leopards are in my top 3 fav morphs and these two have already had perfect sheds with me and switched immediately to f/t. they're aggressive eaters but joy to handle.

he actually doesn't have a complete stripe (just 1 lil blip) but Fury still looks killer.

Heh so I was right about the het pied at least. As fpr why I thought it was het pied, there was a theory that Graziani Reptiles has that the pied gene is so strong that even in hets it has some influenece, especially in leopards. There's a video where he shows two lesser leopards which were both possible het for pied. One looked like yours and the other didn't. His theory was that the het pied causes a pattern change, I don't know if he proved it out but I've seen the power of the pied gene in hets in champagne where majority of people don't even know that Corey Woods proved out that a champagne pied is a white snake. Personally, im confidant that your male is het pied at the minimum.

quoting u from the other thread - thanks. but's it's unlikely his babies will look the same if he is indeed het recessive and i pair him to other recessives to make visual Axanthics, Pieds, Albinos or Clowns. ;) Lessers, Bongos and sometimes Mojo will make a Leopard look like this if u are looking for something visual. and of course being het for strong recessives will also melt your pattern.

and i did. his sister and other clutchmates were selling for $400. i was watching him for awhile and hoping the breeder would lower his price but i just ended up taking the plunge.

yep, totally. the first generation clutch would look cool and the second generation would be crazy cool if he proves to be tripe het.

yep, besides his genes, his tail tells me he's het Pied. i've also seen strong influences from het Clown, so i hope he's got that going on also. Graziani has beautiful Leopards - their Lesser and Pastel Leopard combos are stunning. :salute:
