Do you see any other genes in this guy? I am a little confused because I think he's a banana and banana only, but he has a noticeable wobble.

Then you need to talk about a refund or replacement with the breeder

I think the first step is to ask what the parents were. You never know what's really in a snake. Yes markings are usually a sign but you never really know. If the wobble bugs you that much then yes you can ask for a refund. Is it possible there's spider gene at play? I think anything is possible. You need to find out the parents of the snake and then if its possible that there is a non visible spider gene then you need to decide if you can live with that. Has there ever been bp with a spider gene that you couldn't tell from markings? I'm not sure but with all the new morphs and everything that come out anything is possible.

Can you video the wobble? This would help this thread and help me. I am studying the wobble. Thanks.

There are other genes that wobble but I am not seeing any of them here. Maybe someone with a better eye??

What other genes have a wobble besides spider? I'm curious bc every time I look up wobble genes in bp the only thing people talk about is spider. I like learning things especially bc I have a 10 year plan with bp.

Hidden Gene Woma, Woma, Champagne, Super Sable, and Powerball are the only genes that are known to have a wobble.

im curious about the wobble this banana has. I know my banana is a bit... Off from the rest of my collection but i would not consider it a genetic defect or a wobble from my experience.

Just to let everyone know...He's not going any where, he is part of the family now. The "wobble" is only noticeable when I dangle a rat in front of him. It might be an over enthusiastic feeding response. Maybe he just gets excited.

Makes me wonder why these other genes don't get talked about as much as the spider.

Anyways, OP I hope you bought him from a breeder so you can get a family tree from them. If you bought from a pet store this information will be hard to obtain. If you can get that information then that may or may not rule out a birth "defect", if that's how you see it.

He is beautiful and I hope I didn't come off as you didn't want him its just Some people have a problem with "wobble" genes and don't think they should be worked with. Family is family no matter what though!

You are right, it is excitement, but also aiming. It is more of a shake right? This is not a wobble and your BP is fine.

because spider is a guaranteed wobble of some degree...barely to exceedingly obvious. Champagne and the others are not guaranteed that said ppl generally tell me you never cross the potential wobble genes.
