Acid Clutches of 2016
This season has been going pretty good so far. 30 females have either ovulated or laid eggs, there's still 1 or 2 more that might go this year. I should have a good amount of new Acid combos this year, I think I'll hatch about 10 new combos.
I'll post all the Acid clutches in this thread.
Thanks for checking them out!!
-
Clutch #1
The first clutch is from an Albino female, she was paired with an Acid het.Albino male. She laid 5 good eggs on 3/29/16.

Clutch #2
The second clutch is also from an Albino female who was paired with an Acid het.Albino male. She also laid 5 good eggs. I'm really looking forward to seeing an Albino Acid.

Can you post a pic of your Acid? I'm not familiar with that one. Sounds like a good start to the season!
-
Clutch #3
The third clutch was laid by this big normal girl. This is her fourth year in a row producing eggs, all her offspring does very well and grows pretty fast. I hope to get some nice big Acid females from this clutch to hold back.
She laid 12 good eggs and she was paired with the original Acid male. This is the only Acid x Normal pairing this year, and the last one I'll even do.
Sorry for the dark pic, I was in a hurry that morning. I almost forgot to take it.

Josh, that's awesome! I can't wait to see some new combos.
-
Clutch #4
The fourth clutch was laid by this Clown female.
She laid 6 good eggs, she was paired with Pastel Acid males. I just want one Acid het.Clown male from this clutch. Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to get one.

I like the acid! That looks like it will make some epic combos!
-
Acid looks very awesome  Can not wait to someday see them in Europe with my own eyes :D
-
Clutch #7
The seventh clutch was laid by this Lemonblast female.
She laid 7 good eggs, and she was only paired with Pastel Acids.
There's 4 new combos that could hatch from this clutch.
Come on Acid Blast!!!!

Great looking snakes, all of them. Can't wait to see the babies!

Re: Acid Clutches of 2016
Very impressive gene is the acid. I have seen it before but have not it in these projects. Is it feasible to produce supers? Have you thought about how supers would play into your projects? If at all.
-
can't wait to see what hatches! this is so exciting!
please i hope a Leopard and GHI was one of the 30 females. :)

Thanks Albert, the first chance I'll have at producing a Super Acid will be 2017. I haven't put much thought into it, I don't want to get my hopes up.

Unfortunately.. I did not pair any Acids with Leopards or GHIs this year. That'll have to be next year.
All of the 30 females that have ovulated were not paired with Acids, less than half of them could be producing Acids.
Still very exciting though.

Fantastic pairings, Josh. I love hearing the Acid story and then seeing it come to life through pictures. Can't wait to see what crawls out of those pearly whites!
PS - Obviously, Pastel Acid x Lemonblast had to be done if for no other reason than to produce an animal called the Acid Blast.
Edit: PSS - Any plans for a joint project with Chris and iBalls? Acid Rain anyone? :gj:
-
Thank you Eric, this should be the year we really get to see what this gene has to offer. The last 2 girls are ovulating today, a Lesser that was paired with a GHI het.Red, and a Pastel Lesser Calico that was paired with a Pastel Acid. It looks like 30 girls are going to lay within 70 days of each other.
I paired Pastel Acids with a Clown, a Lemonblast, a Pastel Lesser Calico, a YB, an Enchi, a Fire, and an Enchi Firefly.
I paired Acids with a Mystic, a Pastel Mystic, a Lesser, and couple other suprises for later. I also paired both Pastel Acids and Acids to a Pin and a Spotnose, I think Acid Spotnose will be a good one.
Let's see if I can start this year off with an Albino Acid and finish it with a Super Pastel Acid Lesser Calico. Honestly, I'd be happy with an Acid Calico.
As far as an Acid Rain, it'll happen...

Clutch #8
The eighth clutch was laid today by a Yellowbelly female.
She laid 8 good eggs and 1 infertile egg. She was paired with a Pastel Acid (Lemon Drop). If I hatch out a Pastel YB Acid male, I'm going to have to pick up some Gravel or Asphalt females for his future.

-
Clutch #9
The 9th clutch was laid by this Lesser female.
She laid 8 good eggs on 4/24/16. She was paired with Acid males. This clutch puts me at 69 eggs so far, many girls still left to lay.

-
Clutch #14
The 14th clutch was laid today on 5/4/16.
This Enchi girl laid 7 good eggs, and she was only paired with Lemon Drops. Hopefully we'll get to see both new Acid combos that could hatch from this clutch, but I'll be happy with seeing either one.

Can anyone help me with the font size in this thread? It seems to have a mind of it's own. Out of nowhere the font is tiny, and when I try to change it, size 2 is tiny, and size 3 is gigantic. Is it something to do with my phone or what?
-
Well, now that I've asked, all the font is back to normal.
That's how it goes though.

Waiting is not fun, but we won't be waiting much longer. Today is day 54 for the first clutch of the season, Albino Acids could be posted in this thread in less than a week from today.
Very exciting!!!

Re: Acid Clutches of 2016

Clutch #22
The 22nd clutch was laid on 5/25/16.
This Albino girl laid 7 good eggs, she is the third and final Albino that'll lay eggs this season. She was also paired with the Acid het.Albino male.

Clutch #24
The 24th clutch was laid on 5/28/16.
This Pastel Mystic girl laid 5 good eggs, and she was paired with Acid males. I hope to get an Acid Mystic male to pair Special female.

Well, I missed on the Albino Acid with the first clutch.
I got 3 Acids het. Albino, 1 Albino, and 1 het. Albino.
This Friday I'll cut the next clutch with 5 more chances at hatching an Albino Acid, and if I don't get one on Friday, clutch 22 will give me 7 more chance.

-
I'm looking forward to all the combos, congrats!

Clutch #28
The 28th clutch was laid today on 6/4/16.
This Enchi Fly girl laid 6 good eggs and she was only paired with Lemon Drop males. There's a couple new combos that could come from this clutch, I hope to get something really cool from this one.
http://s6.postimg.org/s45vbck5t/Clutch_28_2016.jpg

Well, I cut the 2nd clutch yesterday and it looks like I missed on the Albino Acid again. I have 2 Acids het. Albino and 3 Albinos. Only 1 Acid is out right now and the 3 Albinos look to be just that. That's 10 eggs with no Albino Acids.
If I had to choose which clutches to miss on, it'd be these 2. The reason for that is, Clutch 22 will give me 7 more chances and she's the best looking out of my 3 Albino girls. Plus I need the odds to work out in many other clutches that I only have one of.
Which brings me to my Lemon Drop x Clown clutch that I just cut tonight. Looks like I have 3 Acids and 1 Lemon Drop that will be 100% het. Clown. I need one of those 4 to be a male. Things are starting to pick up over here. One more Acid clutch left to be laid from the Pastel Lesser Calico girl. I love this time of year!!!
