    Transpecos Copperhead!
Well, my wife added to the hots for our anniversary and picked up one of my favorite sub species of Agkistrodon! Here's a small tidbit

After nailing her meal last night before eating it in private.

Thanks again to Jared Z. for offering this girl up!

Just beautiful. I love the pattern of a copperhead but the TP Copperhead is even better looking yet. It just looks blocked out like a cubist painting

I agree, these photos don't do her justice at all. I'll get her out on a light table tonight!

Beauty. My favorite SSP by far. Love copperheads. How's his temperament.

Her temperament is extremely well behaved. She's 4 years old and has had a lot of hook time. Problem was she's extremely comfortable on a hook and will calmly climb the hook to get close to your hand so I always have to use two hooks to handle her to bump her back to the bottom as needed. But no musking, no tail shaking, no striking unless there is food present.

That's awesome. Mine is a total spaz. Open the tub she rattles tail. Forget hooking. Has been in captivity since she was a neo and not remotely calm. Thanks for sharing

Moved the transpecos info a JPm reptilia cage last night and finished lighting it today.

    Thanks! she is!

I have searched for pictigaster in west texas a couple times with no luck as of yet. This girl is just over 4 years old, and hopefully is going to be part of a breeding loan with another keeper who has an outstanding male to produce some nice CBB "Broad Band Coppeheads" since they did away with the transpecos sub-species recently :( shame cause these guys are definitely an isolated sub-species by all definitions.

I hope you find some. There's a guy that comes to shows local to me that had some gorgeous copperheads (don't remember what types), it really bummed me out when they stopped allowing them to be sold.
