what to breed to super mojo
I have a big breeding size super mojave female and no idea what to breed her with. A male mystic potion at an expo caught my eye today but I kind of want something with more colour. Any suggestions?

Not sure if you have heard of it but the ball python genetic wizard is pretty good to see what you will get when crossing different genes

Did you want lighter or darker color? Something like a GHI or black pastel would be good to darken the babies. Then there are my favorites, orange dream & enchi which would make them much lighter. Other possibilities are things like ghost or maybe even a banana.

I love the look of banana mojaves, actually and the black pastel mojave has a great contrast. I didn't even think about BP, thanks!

No problem haha, I've got a great idea for a project down the road involving some of those morphs but it's going to be way down the road most likely haha For now I'm sticking with trying to make as much crazy super OD stuff as I can

I love OD as well, there's just so many projects I want to work on that I keep having to bump stuff down the list lol. I see you're in ontario too, maybe I'll buy some future OD babies from you ;)

I know what you mean! There are so many projects I want to work on too. I almost wish I wasn't a student so I had more time to work so I could afford to work with more stuff haha

That'd be great but I'm really just starting out. My only female is a big normal I've had for awhile that bred for the first time last year. I got an OD, pastel, enchi, yellowbelly male at the CRBE last year so hopefully he breeds for me this year and I can make some cool babies.

I'm going to be looking for an OD, blade, clown girl and something with OD and fire (probably a spider) at this years CRBE. I think they'd pair amazingly well with my male.

Just out of curiosity what kind of animals do you work with?

I'm a student too (hopefully this upcoming fall is my last year) :) I have a fire/firefly pairing that I'm hoping to get super fires with some orange at least, and looking for an albino combo male to breed to my albino spider when she's up to size. My biggest breeding obstacle right now is actually finding a female northern BTS lol

super excited for the CRBE this year, all I can do is wait and attend the smaller expos in the meantime.

That's pretty cool, I'm honestly not the biggest fan of most albino combos but spider and cinnamon/black pastel albinos are pretty cool. I actually almost jumped on a super fire I saw on kijiji not too long ago but I ended up deciding against it, if I don't stick to my plans I'm going to end up with way too many animals lol.

Yeah, I haven't seen too many BTS's around here, there was a baby at my local reptile store not too long ago. They're so cute when they're babies.

I'm supposed to finish next year as well but I switched programs a couple times so I think I'm going to be stuck in school at least one more year after this next one. I'd ask where you go to school but that's kinda weird lol What are you studying?

I wasn't a huge fan of albino combos until I saw my girl, she has a nice deep almost orange contrast on her markings and I'd love to bring that out more. I'm just a sucker for yellow lol. That's where your OD stuff comes in  I think the albino eyes bug people, I don't have as much interest shown in my ruby/pink eyed rats either.

and lol I go to Western and study psych w/ a focus on animal behaviour :snake: I hate London though so I'm itching to move back to the GTA permanently

Aww ngl I was kinda hoping you might go to my school lol Animal behavior sounds pretty cool I guess you must be able to read your animals really well. I'm studying environmental toxicology mainly because my school had no real zoological type programs I could switch into.

The reason I'm not a huge fan about albinos is you can't really add much color to them. You can make them more orange or more yellow but that's about it (though I could be being ignorant) Like I could buy an albino spider and an albino black pastel and make albino spiders, black pastels and black bees for days but there's not really anywhere else to take the project and I like to work towards a long term goal. Idk everyone has their own opinions and different things make different people happy.

Edit: I actually like the red eyes. Red eyed lucys are soooo cool lol

Where do you go to school? That's a really cool program too, I didn't even know that was available anywhere

Yeah yellow, orange and white are basically it when it comes to albinos lol. I'm lucky bc those are my favourite colours so I'm excited to see how much orange I can add to the combo. Hopefully in the future I can work that into a pied combo too ;) I think another thing I like about albinos is that there's no browning out, or at least it doesn't look brown the way other morphs do. I'd love to get my hands on a super OD with a nice clean pattern.

I'd go with something in the BEL complex. A Mystic Crystal would yield some very nice clutches, for instance: 1/2 Mystic Potions and 1/2 Crystals.
