    Our rescue boy Dmitri!
I saw this not so little fella on craigslist and knew I had to have him. He had a heat rock as a heat source, no hides, and no water for 10 months. He was also being fed live. When I picked him up he was as docile as a teddy bear, dehydrated, slightly underweight, had skin from his last shed and retained both eye caps. He also has a 4 inch laceration to his stomach and a bit of scale rot. A few spagnum moss soaks took care of the eye caps and skin and he has switched to f/t and is eating like a champ!

His first betadine soak! He didn't seem to mind at all.

He couldn't decide which hide he liked more, so he used them both :)

I couldn't be happier with this guy and the progress he has made so far. He's gone blue now, I can't wait to see him after a good shed!

Thank you! :) I dont understand people either. I think its a lack of education about reptiles. Despite everything this not so little guy has been through he's an absolute sweetheart! Proud owner of a 4.5 ft cuddle bug.

Apparently the guy wasn't aware that snakes needed water. Common sense has truly become a super power.

I have no idea how he made it that long. He must have gotten just enough water from his food to make it. He's still hydrating and putting on weight, but doing great! I can't wait to see him after he sheds. It feels like he's been in blue forever!

Dmitri is coming along quite well! He has a new enclosure, and has started to beef up a bit. 1660g at his last weigh in :) he's a sweet boy, but a pain in the butt to have out and about. He gets into everything he's not supposed to *sigh*

Had the big boy out for a bit today. He really has filled out nicely! He now has an AP T8 as his new and permanent home. He seems quite content.

He's a bit dull at the moment, having just cleared up from being blue and ghostly. I'm expecting a shed any day now, so I took him out to add some water to his substrate.

He used to look so long, now that he's put on some weight he seems small and chunky haha
