    Ball python feedimg mishap
My baby ball python is eating his mouse, but theres a problem he struck the frozen thawed mouse hard and his intestines came out, my ball pyhthon is a bit dirty with blood now? What should i do? Im worried it could harm him with all the intestines exposed. I feel like cleaning him after he eats, is that ok?

Alright he ate it, but now hes dirty, can i give him a bath right now or do i have to wait 48 hours until hes done digesting?

Personally i would wait but you probably could wipe him down with a damp cloth to clean up the blood just don't move him do it in his enclosure

I would wipe him down, I've kinda become a clean freak lately.

Handle him carefully, I've handled my bps after meals before and it doesnt seem to faze them. ..and they still poop.

I know the golden rule of not touching a snake after eating...but some rules can be bent. If you go to pick it up and the snake is acting stressed out let him chill, if not there's nothing wrong with cleaning him up.

Is it safe to put a ball python in a bath tub to clean them up?

I would just use a damp paper towel.

FT usually explode when they are overheated. warm them to about 100F, don't let them get hotter. the sooner you clean the snake and it's enclosure, the better.

Yeah a paper towel (damp) will suffice, and I wouldnt put them in the bath tub for a bath. I keep an extra tub with lid for that type of stuff.

if supervised every second, yes. but not necessary, just wipe it down with a damp cloth. if you've got hydrogen peroxide around the house wipe him down with that and then dry him off a few minutes later. if not, same routine with a cloth dampened with water.

but if you bathe him, the water should only be about half his height.

I'd take care of it as soon as possible. I wouldn't wait several days for the snake to digest. it won't take long for those mouse remnants to turn into rotting meat (aka bacteria).

But i dont want to stress him out and make him regurgitate his meal by cleaning him now, idk what to do lol. Could cleaning him tomorrow be ok? He wouldn't regurgitate then right?

no guarantees available on the regurge! yes, it can wait until tomorrow (morning, right?). It's unlikely that a gentle wipe down will cause the snake to regurge, but no guarantees.
