Kevin Smith ( Bad Businessman )

Kevin Smith of Buffalo NY is a horrible businessman who sells sick /dead or dying snakes.
If you see him...run the other way like he has typhoid fever!

I have no idea who HE is and at the same time I have no idea who YOU are either and while it's not required proof would really help your case imagine if someone new to the forum like yourself came and posted the same thing about you. :confusd:

So I think in YOUR interest but also in the interest of the people you want to protect, you should elaborate, plus it's a pretty common name too.

He sells Ball Pythons and Retics

Understandable :( I'm not sure how to prove that he sells bad animals, but I just want everyone to be aware and at least cautious if he does try to sell snakes to them.

Let's see how about details of your transaction, what animals were bought, which one where sick, vet reports, picture of the deceased animal etc.....if I was sold a sick or dying animal trust me I would have all that handy I would also have proof of the communication that transpired (because I am sure after you were sold sick animals there must have been some kind of communication), without that sadly it's just hearsay especially when you are pretty new to a community.

Trust me I have been making my share of threads when it comes to shady people and there is nothing I like better than weed out the bad seeds but in this case how do I know?

For a start, I'm sure there are a lot of guys named "Kevin Smith" in Buffalo, NY. How about an email address or Facebok page so we know which one you're talking about?

Where does he advertise? Here, Facebook groups (if so which ones?), Kingsnake, FaunaClassifieds, or ?

If he's a member of this forum or other forums, what is his screen name?

What snakes did you buy? How many? How long ago? How long did you have them before they showed signs of illness or they died?

Did you take the snakes to a vet? If so, what was the diagnosis and treatment?

If they died did you have a necropsy done? If so what were the results?

Here's the way I see it. As of this moment, you have seven total posts in this forum. In order, they are:

• 3x in your 14 lot of pieds "For Sale" post - 1x original, 1x sold, 1 still available - all within just over 24 hours of each other
• 1x in your 3 lot of anacondas "For Sale" post
• 4x in this "Bad Businessman" post (with no actual information)

It's not that much of a stretch to associate someone unloading a bunch of snakes cheaply and that same someone complaining about a guy selling sick/dead/dying animals without any proof/details.

As Deb eluded to, though, this is not the BOI (nor should it be). How you choose to provide clarity regarding any/all of the above is completely up to you.

Also more activity in a community can really help your credibility than just coming here to sell your animals.
I am interested in your shipping methods on an animal you have listed.

I understand what yall mean lol. This happened last year. But I was hoping someone knew this guy because he disappeared after the transaction.

Well I made my feeble attempt to see if anyone knew of him. Oh well.

Best bet would be also post up the full transaction or questions related to said individual on the BOI section of Faunaclassifieds.com or Kingsnake.com. Might run into someone who knows him there or possibly try Facebook. Regardless though, like others have said, you have to post the full transaction. Just shouting "X sells bad snakes!" is a pretty general statement that's needs to be backed up or validated. Regardless, sorry you had a bad dealing on getting an animal. That's why I do my homework and triple check it before I throw cash on any animal.

It seems a bit late now, but I can't stress enough the need to research not only the animal, but the source of the animal.

Sorry youve had had a bad experience.
