My 1st ever Clutch of eggs !!!
I came home last night from work and started looking in all the tubs to check out the snakes and see who may need water bowls cleaned and refilled and to feed all my little snakes and when I got to the bottom tub of my adults I noticed my girl was sitting on a clutch of eggs. I could see 1 egg that was wrinkled only half way under her and I could see another in the center of her coil. She laid 4 eggs 3 years ago for her previous owner and I have had her just over 8 months now.
I didn't know she ovulated I had been watching my Pastel x Bumblebee and my Pastel x Pinstripe (both het Pieds) for there's so I didn't have the incubator running. I left the eggs with her overnight and fired up the incubator. I did a test run on the incubator a couple months ago to get it dialed in. I took her off her eggs today and there was 8 eggs under her and that 9th one that was wrinkled she had kicked out.
I got them in the bator now so the long wait begins. I put the wrinkled one in the middle of the egg tub for more heat and moisture to see if it recovers any. I'll have to keep an eye on that one.
Oh by the way the mom is just a Normal and the dad is a Champagne. Pics coming next.

Congrats on your first! What a rush, right?
If you want to know ahead of time if an egg is likely to make it or not, check out this video from JKR about candling eggs for fertility: https://youtu.be/s2MuZBMGdJA
It's pretty simple to do as long as you've got a flashlight worth a darn. Good luck!
Best regards,
Eric

If it's bad it will start turning black, right ?

Hey Jay! Congrats on the clutch. Great job. As far as the wrinkled egg is concerned along with the flatness does make it look suspicious. However i think you should give it a fighting chance bc these eggs are resilient and can bounce back given the chance. Make sure you get that humidity percentage up to 99% ASAP. Good Luck. :gj:

Congrats on the clutch, a good sized Clutch to!! ... Eric's spot on with the candling video to verify fertile eggs (plus it's pretty cool to see) :gj: .... as far as the egg that's not looking so fortunate .. I would not hold my breath on that one however I do agree with Albert you should at least give it a chance because they can be pretty tough, if you candle the eggs you probably won't be able to see into that one very well but as long as it doesn't start to discolor badly, mold excessively, or stink badly ... I would leave it for now. Good luck to you
