New Baby

ok, i finally got a Banana. i got him for a pretty good deal from a local guy. he’s got the perfect Mojave pattern. i like everything about him except for his morph name. Banana Mojave is soooo boring. i think there should be a new morph name. what do u think sounds better? Banave? Mojana? Banamojo? Banjo? vote in my poll!

anyway he had a perfect shed last night and his colors are simply stunning!

his mom was a Mojave het Pied that apparently proved out in a previous clutch, so he might be 50% het Pied but i'm not holding my breathe. so we'll see.

I like him! I prefer my bananas with lots of freckles so I'm wishing plenty on him:P I voted banjo but agree it is frustrating trying to keep all of the cutsie names straight. It's funny, I was contemplating naming the new Super Phantom Banjo too. And the 4 year old suggested "Booger" for the crystal so that can't be a banana mojave either since I'm sure you just ran out of poll spaces and it was a front runner.

Love the colors congrats on the pick up. A banana/cg are a gotta have it gene in my opinion. Mine has dulled in color but still looks awesome and i'm one to like the spots i can't believe some don't. And if your open to breeding ideas i think sugar/calico go great with banana, i'm gonna try my banana x suqar bee sometime.....also i voted banjo lol.

those Banana Sugars look great! not sure what projects he'll go towards, kinda leaning Banana GHI Mojave. a Super Mojo with and Banana head would look cool too. i'll call it the Super Banjo! lol

I ended up naming her Lasagna. Partly because she's a fatty, partly because it was like 1am and I was hungry and it seemed funny at the time.

Not going to buy a camera but a new phone with a better camera than my current one has though. :p That however got delayed because I was disappointed how LG G5 turned out to be so I'm waiting for One Plus 3 reveal and see about the specs and such.

i agree with deborah's call for it remain labeled banana mojave, but for different reasons.

it is a spectacular looking morph, and i hope to breed some of my own some day, but maybe with sulfur thrown in the mix.

I'll have to agree with Deb on the morph name. It's a Banana Mojave. The only one I've ever considered starting a campaign to try and change is "Normal". I like "Classic", but even the kids roll their eyes at me on that one. :rolleyes: <--- Just like that!

Wow that's a great sugar banana thank you for sharing seven. It reminds me of the one that was in the same display with the banana i bought. It was on tim's from bailey and bailey's reptiles table and of course it was NFS. I don't think it was his cause the banana i got wasn't either. I'll even play around and bet that it could be the same one if not similar. Again thanks for sharing i don't see this very sweet combo enough on forums and regarding the names of the gene's no pun intended. lol

wow that is an exceptional Banana Sugar. i've seen Banana Calicos/Sugars but have not seen what much white.

anyway cant wait for Munchkin to grow up so i can make Super Banjos. lol

i believe the black spots played a large part in how the gene got its name.
