Het Pied? Ringers?
Okay gonna go ahead and ask a "noob" question once again. What are Ringers in Het Pieds? What does a Ringer look like? I have googled images and it comes up with thousands of different photos. I went through post on here for about 30 minutes and only found people talking about "Ringers don't guarantee Het Pied". These photos are of some babies I found on craigslist. I just don't wanna get taken.

Here is a good example of a ringer. He's a fire that is NOT het pied.

Here's another ringer that did prove to be het pied. She's a cinnamon lesser het pied.

As far as I understand ringers can be any morph that just happen to have a white band somewhere on the body and might have nothing to do with the pied gene.

"het Pied markers" are a better indication from my experience but also not 100%. Maybe you can ask to see the parents in person before you buy anything het from craigslist.

I don't see any ringers on any of the photos from the craigslist post. Guess the only way to truly tell is to know the sire and dam...

I think you're talking about het pied 'markers' not ringers. The markers are solid black lines along the edges of the belly near the tail. I have had 100% het pieds without these markers, but often times if they do have the markers they end up het for pied (but again not in every case). I think for the most part it is consensus that the 'markers' aren't a great indicator and when it comes to het pied you need to trust your breeder.

Here is a 100% het pied I had a while back with the most complete set of het pied markers I've ever seen to give you an idea of what I mean by black lines along the belly. In this case they ran the whole length of body almost although usually the markers are just the last 1/4 of the body.

If you want to buy 100% het pied do yourself a favor and buy from a REPUTABLE breeder that will guarantee the genetics of the animal you are purchasing, craigslist sellers are here today to pocket your money and gone tomorrow ;)

Makers and ringer are never 100% and animals should not be bought based on markers or lack there of.

Okay yall, I spent the morning really going over the 3 new additions. The female had a super bad stuck shed on her head. It seemed like there were at least 3 layers and took quite a long to safely remove. She seems happier here are new pictures of Sally.

And here is the Male 2 year old Enchi. He had stuck shed near his tail, and what appears to be a small injury received during shed. He looks much happier here. Not sure how long he sat at the pet store but I got a great deal on him.
