Got a few more pictures of my tiny little CH Normal boy, Lue, so I thought I'd toss them up. I love the little hook and blushing on his side.

I wasn't going to get another boy, and $100 seemed a bit high for a normal, but I absolutely fell in love with the look of him. Then I ended up getting my pastel pied boy from the same source, so it all worked out. He's Captive-hatched, so who knows what could be going on with him - but I'm going with the assumption that he's normal, rather than make any assumptions! He's still tiny - only 106g at his last weighing. It'll be interesting to see what he looks like as he grows up.

    Nice baby,

I would have no problem with keeping a girl or 2 for him to breed with next breeding season

Thanks! He's a shy little fellow - and he's afraid of mice. But now he's started taking f/t if I leave it in front of his hide and leave him alone, which none of my others will do - so I'm very happy with him!

I'm tempted to breed him and see what happens in a year or two - but all my girls are babies, too, so it'll have to wait a while! My biggest girl is still under 600g.

Thank you! I think he's pretty handsome - but I'm biased! He has a lot of iridescence, too - much more than any of my other BPs. Those paler spots on his head are iridescence, rather than shed or anything like that. He just had a perfect shed - nose to tailtip, one single piece and without a tear in it.

Thank you! He's a wiggly, shy little worm, so what he's proving out at the moment is how fast he can go from 'scared ball of snake' to ' "Oh-look! What's-that-over-there!" ' and be on his way to investigate.

Was he from a gravid wild caught import?

To my understanding, he was hatched in captivity from an egg that was either gathered after being laid in the wild, or from a gravid female that was captured, her eggs collected, and most likely released again unless she was then imported separately. Then he would have been shipped to an importer, along with a bunch of other hatchlings, who sorted them out, got them eating, and cleared them of parasites. I got him from Outback Reptiles.

He's Captive-Hatched, rather than Captive-Bred, so I figure that's about as normal as you can get, his dam was a wild ball python. He might have something in him - or he might not. Some normals can be pretty unique!

I'm not familiar with red stripe. Just looked it up - his dorsal stripe does look quite a bit like the red stripe dorsal! Some of them look really red, though, and he doesn't... his side markings are more of a tan/beige. Other pictures of them don't look red at all, though! Just have to wait and see as he grows up!

Indeed! Unless he is, and keeps it a secret for future generations, to randomly pop up when someone is least expecting it and create a mystery for them!
