    New Pick Ups
It has been awhile since I have been on here. I slowed down on snakes for almost two years. I mean I looked here and there, but was trying to get out of debt and finish my BA. Well now I am finishing my Masters this summer, and saw these two for an amazing price. What do you all think? I grabbed a female 2016 pied (108 grams) and an albino pinstripe 2015 female (400 grams). Albino pinstripe is going through a horrible shed, so she is a light contrast albino it appears. I spent $500 on these two together. The pied is completely white except her head. I think there is more going on with her. Her head is much brighter in person. Thoughts?

I am no BP expert, but there does look like she is more than pied. To me, what makes me think this is the stripe running down her face. Not too sure what it is though. Wait until Ax01 spots this thread, he'll clear things up for you.

Still a beautiful snake! I've never seen a pied like that before!

Nice pick-ups...... I would look for a wobble in that pied. Its going to be a long wait to prove that girl out as a Spied but I would put money on it. :gj:

Baby pied has a nice head stamp too. Honestly , at first I was thinking fire pied bc the head markings and coloration are so full. In the spied it seems they have more linear facial and head markings. The albino is hot too! Congrats in any case.

Awesome pick-ups for a killer price! Wow! Congrats!!

As to the pied, I would guess maybe spied too, or at the very least some pastel. She looks pretty bright. The only way to find out though is to prove it out in the future. Either way, very nice!! :gj::gj:

Thank you all! I will def breed my pied to see what she is. I will let you all know in 2-3 years. If she is just a pied, she is smoking! If she has something else hiding in there, I hit the jackpot.

    Thanks again,

wowwee! u have quite the steals here!! it's like u got a discount high white Pied and the Albino for free.

anyway the high white, green tint eyes would have me leaning Spied as well. (confirm eye color please) i've seen that folded over/under head pattern in Enchi's but their Pieds are med-low white, so i'm not convinced of ENchi.

also we need a better shot of your Albino Pinstripe. the faint yellow on high white looks almost VPI Snow-like. and follow this stickie guide on helping with the bad shed - http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...hed-No-problem

I thought spider was the only one that would change the pattern that way. Logically though it seems really weird to me that someone would sell a pied girl as just pied when there's more going into it. I just don't know how someone could miss that spider gene in the process of making that little girl. But at the same time it seems like such low odds that a pied would randomly have that much white and the head be the only pattern (although possible).

That's a pretty killer deal though even if it was just for the girl. I paid 360 for a 400ish gram pied girl and was thrilled with that, but I would have been just as happy with a super high white girl like that for 500, not to mention you got an albino pinstripe along with it.

There are plenty of high white pieds that are of the regular pied, black pastel pied and Mojave pied. With percentages of white in the 90 - 95% range. I just feel a little thrown off by the head markings on this little guy as far as the "Spied" is concerned. Just my take. There is something else going on maybe hypo or ghost. Maybe even pastel.

i think the Bee Pieds are what peeps usually imagine when they think of Spieds - so the head pattern would look different. it could be alotta things i guess. this one is throwing us for a loop for sure!

even that Albino Pinstripe is throwing me for a loop. it's too high white or maybe the photo is just washed out.

anyway OP, we need more pix!

Sorry everyone for the delay in writing you all back. I completely forgot to get back on here and respond. Opps. Here are some newer pictures.

The albino pin female is doing good but I am still working on that shed. She has yet to shed while with me. I am going to soak her tomorrow after work.

The pied girl eats like a horse! I think she will grow up quickly. *Knock on wood*

I can't believe how pretty that pied is. I'm an odd ball as I'm not being the biggest pied fan but she is pretty.

Thank you! The funny thing is years back when I first saw the pied, I said I wanted a lower-med white female as the patterns really pop out more. Then I slowed down on snakes and focused on Crested Geckos, which some how led me to Hedgehogs. Now I am back wanting to really start my ball pythons again. They are so much easier than everything else and cheaper. =) I am a college student lol. But once I saw this girl, I just had to have her!

    Thanks

Haha me too, it can be tough to afford school and stay in the hobby but I feel compelled to stay in the hobby. I love the animals too much to give it up.

Exactly! I love having snakes! They are super easy to own and care for. I just did not want to get too many and not have enough time to spend with everyone while being in school.
