    Not just ball pythons - all frigging snakes are. I want a Rainbow boa, Carpet Python (Jungle or Irian Jaya), Hognose... the list goes on and on! Need more space, more enclosures, more money, different wife (I'm sure she won't stick with a crazy man like me!)

    As regards the wife .... just start doing more and more housework and maybe the shopping .... plus try not to spread the vivs into other rooms .... oh and learn the best time to mention about the new incoming snake ... Oh and don't use the bacon tongs for dangling rats ...

    @ BWB- I agree with Zinc. Getting new critters with a resistant SO takes precision timing, stealth, cunning, and occassionally a little bribery. My new addition gives me a total of (7) snakes. I promised no more snakes after the 2nd one. Sometimes it takes months of planning and preparation. You'll have to do a few more date nights, foot rubs, and sponsor a mini shopping spree or two :). In the end it's worth it if you both get what you want. My last snake was probably my most expensive. Not because of the cost of the snake or the enclosure but because I had to buy mama bear a plane ticket to NY to visit one of her girlfriends. Once I did that it was smooth sailing when I pleaded for just one more snake a few weeks later. She never saw my 'attack' coming :). I caught (put) her in a good mood and she didn't object in the least. It's my version of the Jedi mind trick. Ply them with kisses, kindness, and gifts and they'll be putty in your hands.

    Hey Ziggy, here's one of your wife's posts I found on another forum:

    "As long as I keep acting like I don't want any more snakes in the house that fool keeps showering me gifts, extra lov'n, and doing more housework! That puppet thinks that I don't have a clue what he's doing."
    :rofl::rofl:

    Zig,

    Forgot to ask;

    Another one from Nick?

    I have been "looking" and planning my attack here at home too. Think I may just add it, not say anything and probably won't get noticed for a year or more LOL!

    Re: Boom
    @ Gio- That's an affirmative on the Nick Mutton production. What can I say? I love his work with Morelia. He's got so many beautiful animals to choose from. I also received my copy of The Complete Carpet Python today. Incredible book! Re: that attack plan-sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission :). When I was waiting for my jungle to hatch last year I "inadvertently " got a coastal in the interim. That was Reinz's fault though :). He sent me over the edge by posting pictures of his amazing coastals.

    @ Dave- I normally wait about 24-72 hours before feeding new arrivals. The feeding records showed he hadn't eaten in about 10 days so I called the breeder and asked if it was ok to try feeding him. He said it was fine so I gave it a shot. He's gonna knock off a few more of the mice fuzzys that my jungle outgrew too fast and I'll try to move him to rats after that. I like the fact that he's perching after his meal instead of ducking into his warm hide. I have a feeling I'm going to like this guy.

    You guys are to funny! I wish I could find a guy that loves my herps but at least I'm learning how to find a way around it if I get one that doesn't. AND...It's all you guys' fault that I ended up with my Caramel Coastal from Nick!! I'm loving her! She already is eating some rejects from the others, lol! She also loves to perch after a good meal :oops:

    Mr. Right is out there. He doesn't need to love herps, he needs to love you. my better half recently asked me "what would you do if you had a girl who said it's either me or the snakes?" I told her I would take the snakes because I would know that a girl who demanded that didn't really love me. you can't say you love someone and then ask them to give up their passion. No, she wasn't thinking about making such a demand, she just likes to ask hypothetical questions.

    @ Jumper- That's right our coastals have the same dad. How's the sister Michonne doing these days :)? My male just hit 600g and is smashing any food I offer him. Rats, mice, chicks, ASFs doesn't matter.

    Aww Thanks Dennis! You make me teary eyed. I have a double whammy though....Snakes and Horses. I think the snakes are the easier part as my passion with horses tends to send guys running for the hills, lol! That's ok...I'm interesting with lots of passions :)

    And, yes, I have had a guy want me to choose between my horse and him.....hence, I'm single. I agree with your SO, no asking people to give up what they are passionate about...life without passion is boring ;)

    that's what carpets do! with the exception of the occasional carpet that just won't take rats. other than that I've not known them to turn down anything. quail and rabbit are also greatly appreciated.

    They really are special, just downright cool :cool:

    Carpets were the last group that I got, but are my favorite for sure. I really love my Boas and Ball, but I just can't put my finger on how Morelia grab me so. The main thing that comes to mind is that they are just plain FUN and can be challenging at times when handling.
