    My newest addition.
This is my new leo. Don't know what to name her. Gonna let my daughter do it. She's named all our pets. Haha. I had her in a tub for a bit and then got her a larger cage. I made sure temps were right before putting her in the new enclosure.

    This is her.

This is the tub she was in for a little while. Not very long. Just till the temps in the new tank were stable.

And this is her new enclosure.

Lol. Thanks! If I was a leo I'd like to live in there too. Haha. I tried to replicate their habitat as much as possible. I love how it turned out. [emoji4]

It is the Exo Terra 36x18x12. I think it's the large low?? Low wide?? Not sure what it's called. I have a hot side, warm side, and cool side. The right side is the hot side with a zoo med uth. I have the zilla halogen mini dome with a red 25w halogen bulb that heats more to the center of the tank making it the warm side. The left side is the cool side. And I have an LED light mounted on the wall above the tank just for show.

I just love their facial expressions!! My son wants to get some Leopard Geckos. What type of substrate are you using? Will you have to remove all of it for cleaning, or do you just "spot clean" when needed?

It's a "desert mix" substrate. Since the only thing to clean will be the poop I will be spot cleaning. I'm not going to let crickets loose in there so I won't have to clean up after them. I'm feeding them crickets and dubias with tongs. That is why I have that substrate. Since there's going to be nothing to attack I lessened the risk of impaction. I also have mealworms available for them in a dish at all times. There's a ton of people that frown upon sand substrate, but at the same time theres a ton of people that still use it with no problems. But some people rather not take the risk. Personally I don't see a problem with it. Especially the way I'm doing things. It allows them to dig burrows as well so they can make their own hides/caves. I guess it just comes down to personal preference. If you don't wanna risk using sand and don't like the plain look of paper towels, use excavator clay. That thing is awesome. I used some to hold some rocks and wood in place.

Lol. Thanks! I'm gonna beef them up and get them real healthy for at least a year before I get my male and house them together. They're all going to be different morphs so I'll get a variety of combinations with the babies. [emoji4]
