New Boys are Here and Named - Lue and Fion!
Picked up the box at the Fedex transfer earlier, and took a few pictures before tucking them away to settle in - which they seem to be doing quite well. These are the boys I've been waiting for - and I've already picked names for them.

First up is Fion - Pastel Pied. He's shy, and I didn't want to stress him more than he already was. Love the tip of his tail - I hadn't seen that in the breeder photos! 165g.

Next up are horrible pictures! This little devil does NOT hold still! Barely had the bag open and he was already coming out - and then he was all over the place! Weighing in at 81g, my CH Normal, Lue! The last picture is supposed to be of his belly, but he was too busy being gone to stick around for it. No tucking this guy's head in and balling him up - he was NOT willing to be a Ball!

Just something about Lue that I fell in love with when I first saw his photo on Outback Reptiles. I'm not even sure what, but I love him even more in person. Both arrived healthy, alert, curious - and in Lue's case, very, very active!

    those are 2 amazing BPs.

that Pastel Pied is very clean for a Pastel Pied. i also like how his head pattern connects to his dorsal stripe. (my Pied girl Nessarose has the same stripe. :) )

also love the long dorsal stripe on your CH Normal. (i'm a sucker for stripes.) by the way, what is CH?

congrats on the great pick ups!

congrats on the great pick ups!

That long, bubbly dorsal stripe is one of the things that really caught me about Lue - and CH is Captive Hatched. Not Captive Bred - hatched in captivity from the egg of a wild female.

Thanks, everyone! I'm just amazed that nobody had snapped Fion up before I did - apparently he'd been up for sale on Morph Market for quite a while!

Small update - Mike at Outback mentioned that he hadn't fed the boys the week prior to shipping, so I might go ahead and offer. Since today is the usual feeding day for everyone but Ssa (she's on a 5-day routine instead of 6-day), I figured I'd offer, rather than wait the full week. Fion didn't have any hesitation at all - gulped a young adult mouse right down! Live - I didn't try to offer f/t on a first feeding. Lue thought about it, and thought about it, and finally nailed his weanling mouse and gobbled it - he's so tiny that I figured that was the right size for him, and it looks like it was. I decided against offering a second. I'm sure he'll be up to adults in no time, though! Such a long, skinny boy - I'm used to chunky balls.
