Picked up a Pinstripe, 75% off
I'm typically not a Petco buyer of animals. Around here I've seen pastels, spiders, and pinstripes, but they usually want $150 for them, and I'd rather support breeders. Everytime I've gone there for the last year there's been this one pinstripe that, for whatever reason, it just wouldn't sell. I've actually watched it grow up.

So the other day I brought my son there to look at the critters and they had a sign "50% off pinstripes". I asked the sales manager if I could hold it, and after handling it and he saw I was about to put him back he said "he's been here awhile, I'll go down to 75% off just to move him..."

Sold! So it was about $40 OTD for a yearling. I'm just getting him settled in and acclimated to his new enclosure. Snapped a couple pics, enjoy.

Congrats on the pickup. No one would be able to reject that offer. Be sure to do your quarantine practices. Enjoy.

    Nice find, good looking snake.

But I hope when you say 'stunned' you actually mean fresh killed. hitting a mouse on the head lightly in order to knock them unconscious but still alive can cause a lot of pain and severe brain injury and is very cruel. Hitting them in the head hard and killing them instantly, or better yet using cervical dislocation, is not. And both will accomplish the same thing.

No matter how somebody stuns or fresh kills their snake food, I think it's best to just not discuss it among polite company (like religion and politics). Somebody will have a problem with it anyway it's done, and given the nature and culture of our "nothing bad or uncomfortable or 'muh feelingz' should ever happen and if it does we need to do something or ban it to keep it from ever happening again" society we currently live in, busy body activists would rather see nothing bad happen to snake food than to have your snake eat safely or eat at all, causing your snake to starve to death or charging you with animal cruelty for the crime of feeding your snake. Let's just say the snake food ends up in the same place... strangled by my snake, then in my snake's stomach, and in a few days in a pile of brittle white paste and a brown log.
