yeah, Brady looked deflated.
this gif of Cam not going for his fumbled ball sums it up. lol!

i'm trying to find a gif of him crying for a flag on the ground after a legit hit in the endzone. that pouting was Tom Brady-eque.

Yeah when I saw Cam's behavior after that hit, I thought I was watching Tom CryBrady:tears:.
Looks like the Broncos:trophy: were Superman's Kryptonite!

Re: go broncos!
First off, good for Peyton Manning for winning his last game (hopefully). I want him out of the AFC west, so the Chargers don't have to deal with him. But I am going to defend Cam here, I agree he can be a little emotional but he is a great talent and I am sure that he will win at least one SB. The stats he put up this year were amazing! Sorry to break up the Broncos party. Haha
-
As a native Coloradan and life long Broncos fan, all I have to say is Peyton had very little to do with this win. We should be discussing one of the best defenses of all time. That being said I am so excited about the win as this is the first time I have lived in a city when their sports team won a championship. I never venture into the downtown area much anymore, but I felt I had to for the experience. I am glad I did, Denver is a friendly city but I have never talked with so many strangers in my entire life. Also I got the obligatory tear gassing, luckily I was far enough away to only cause a slight cough. Congratulations to the Broncos, and especially Von Miller.
As for Cam, he was shown to be what I expected him to be all year overrated and classless. In fact the entire panthers team was shown to be overrated, eat it commentators. I do feel bad for Norman as he seems to be a talented player and decent individual.

i hope cam newton retires with zero rings to be honest. :colbert:

I agree to some extent, with his current :bow:superman-look at me showboat attitude.
If he can learn to be HONESTLY humble and win with class, then I would wish him the best.

Cam is an amazing talent but his 2 biggest weakness are his accuracy and mental game. he overshoots many of his targets. then take away his receivers and pressure him - he will begin to crack. plus who knows what the Broncos defenders said to him each time they knocked him down. Cam Newton is still a force and the Panthers are still contenders.
anyway i love antics, celebrations and trash talk in sports. it's apart of the game - the mental part. however, there's a fine line between that mental game/fun and classless/poor sportsmanship. Cam's post-game stuff and interview was the later. Cam can dole it (the antics) out but can't take it when he's on the receiving end. u gotta take the good with the bad.

Josh Norman is definitely talented but not the most decent. i don't feel sorry for him b/c he's a trash talker that resorts to slurs. he's cocky, he's good, but his trolling of Odell Beckham Jr before and after the game was piss poor sportsman ship. Norman should have be fined and suspended as well. i welcomed seeing the long camera shots of his grown man tears last night.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Except for the last part, Norman (a major trash talker) got in OBJs head, and he couldn't handle it, he snapped. I don't see anything wrong with the trash talk.
The actions of both players on the other hand were unnecessary and they took it to far especially when OBJ hit Norman helmet to helmet a good ten seconds after the play was over. I agree both should have been fined and suspended for a game but OBJ should have gotten ejected as well as the suspension.
Ah, football always starts some great debates haha, can't wait to see what next season brings. A Chargers SB win anyone? Haha I am thinking wishfully.

Norman is an emotional hothead. this was his 4th year in the league and his breakout year. he had a very good year and we'll see if he can continue to play at an elite level but i'm not a fan. unfortunately there's no evidence of slurs he threw at OBJ b/c there was no mic but there's some truth to the baseball bat threats. that type of trash talk is petty.
Norman with bat pre-game and OBJ threatened again post-game with bat
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCfn9b4iMLU
i think it's very funny that post-game he called OBJ immature for dancing after catching a TD. does Norman realize who his won QB is? and what team he plays on? he plays on a team full of dancers. lol!
(apparently we can only post 1 vid per post so i'll just leave the link.)
don't forget the fight Norman started with his QB Cam Newton during pre-season training camp. he intercepted a pass during team drills, stiff arms Cam, then proceeds to knock off his helmet.

the Panthers are a very good team, but damn there's alotta bad attitudes in there.

anyway let's get to some more lulz in this thread...

i can't wait for next season.

Well I guess we all got to see the real Cam Newton: a petulant and spoiled child who only wants to be in the spotlight when he is winning. Grow up and take your loss like a man. ALL of the great quarterbacks have felt crushing defeats in their time, and most of them took the criticism on the chin and owned it.
-
Re: go broncos!
Totally agree that the some of the Panthers have to rein in their emotions a little more. That Conan vid was pretty funny.
-
Emotions are fine for sports. But when someone is absurdly cocky and arrogant to the point of literally creating a character and alter ego for themselves, they better be ready to deal with the repercussions when they don't deliver.

After watching all the post super bowl coverage I think a major point is being lost in all of this. Players need to remember that they are beholden to us, the fan base. I don't care about a players race, feelings, career stats or who failed whom on the team. Each and every player is obligated to their fan base. And as a fan our only avenue of communication with most players is through the media. The only reason that players can make $17 million a year is because we pay ridiculous ticket prices and buy inordinately priced merchandise.
I dont one think it's too much to ask for a player to sit in a char and answer direct questions about their performance.
