    Houston
So I have gotten Houston him with me now. However the person I trusted to take care of him during my plight of looking for a new apartment didn't do as such. He has retained shed on his head and is super thin. That alone bothers me to the point I want to disassociate myself with them. This is going to be one hell of a recovery. I hope I can pull this off.

It's really not THAT hard to snake sit. I would definitely not talk to them again but that just personally :rage:. Best of luck to Houston

Where you out of town that you couldn't check on him often? Do they know how to care for snakes? You have him back so forgive and move on. Life is to short to hold grudges. Just look at it as a learning lesson. Some people are just not cut out to take care of animals.

I agree with DellaF. Don't hold onto a grudge it will just take away from the energy you need to spend to get your buddy better. Get him fed up and well. BPs are really resilient animals so i'm sure he will bounce back fine. Good luck!

I'm 45 minutes away from where they were staying that is on good day with no traffic. I asked for key to make my way over there every Saturday but her husband was against. I blame myself more than I blame them.

    *update*

An eye cap and half his stuck shed came off last night. Turn on his heat lamp this morning and noticed this. Woo hoo!

I wasn't gone. The apartments I was staying wouldn't allow him. I recently moved and he finally was able to come home. He didn't eat. I have get him a pinky or a small mouse.

has he had another shed? what are u doing to fix humidity so Houston could have a nice shed? looks like humidity could still be an issue. u could try adding damp moss, a humid hide or cover the screen top of his tank, etc.

He hasn't had another shed. I have added the moss. I going to cover the top of his tank. Thanks for that information and sorry for the delayed response.

Houston ate! Not only did he eat, but he struck at his meal! He also went from a pinky to a fuzzy! This month makes one year for him. I don't know his actual birthday but I know he was born this month. I received him on my birthday, so I will just consider May his official birthday month.

At a year, he is only eating a pinky? I was under the impression BP's are ready to eat rat pups fresh out of the egg.

    Good luck with him. :)

He was eating eat pinkies. Yesterday was his first large meal with me. It was a fuzzy/hopper. I had to get him back to eating correctly.

On the eve of his birthday month, Houston is now taking rat fuzzy/pups. He is starting to look like a on year old ball Python. He is definitely acting like one.
