Great looking little gal. As far as I know, the Lovell line is its own line not a lipstick line. Lipstick line are only from Tom Burke or obviously snakes that have been bred to Tom Burke stock. And a sunglow is just a hypo albino. And bloods are a whole nother story lol. I was looking at a Lovell line when I got my little gal but I ended up getting a Burke/EBV red group possible super sunglow gal. Probably will never prove it out to be a super sunglow if it is since I don't have any breeding planned.

And give that poor gal a hide!!! OMG bad mommy!! J/K :D

Oh ok, I got it confused. Yeah the red one which is really expensive is probably a blood boa, those aren't cheap but they do look nice. Check out Scoria boas. Those are hot and I want one so bad but I cant afford the sticker shock of $15k for a male or $8k for a female lol. Luckily they are a co dominant gene so maybe they will drop in price in a couple years lol.

And I just looked at the Snakes at Sunset thing and yeah they using the word "lipstick". Lots of people use that term loosely now. A "real" lipstick line is one that came from Tom Burke stock or was bred to it and has its bloodline. Originally, Tom Burke had one female that was the first Lipstick. He bred it to his other snakes to begin the "Lipstick Line". Sellers use the name since all baby sunglows are really bright red. The key is a Lipstick will hold that color or very closely into adulthood where as others will fade as they get older. I mean honestly it doesn't really mean much unless you're a snake puritan hehe. When I bought my little gal, I made sure she was from Tom Burke stock (her dad was a Tom Burke snake and her mom was an EBV redgroup hypo het albino) because she was sold as a lipstick. Now she might be a super lipstick but only way to know that for sure would be to breed her to a normal BCI and if the babies came out sunglow, that would prove it but I don't plan to breed.

Regardless though, great looking little boy. Boas are addictive because of their great personality. Just wait until yours gets big and still wants to sit on you like a baby lol.

Well keep us updated please , I'd love to see it when it's got some size about it !

Hopefully it stays as beautiful as it is now and stays nice and "clean looking " .

I've seen Lipsticks in the past and they always seemed to be kinda disappointing , as though the colour had bled randomly , throughout the body if you get my drift .

That's because most people that label their sunglows as "lipstick" are doing it for the extra cash on sales. A true lipstick is a snake which can be traced back to Tom Burke stock as he was the one who produced and coined the first lipstick. The thing is, almost all babies are really bright thus why most are called lipstick. After about 2 years, you really know because a normal will usually wash out where a lipstick will keep a majority of the color. Now no matter what, you will get some fading from sunglows. Albinos wash out a lot but that's an albino. The reason most sunglows look better is because sunglow is actually 2 albino genes and a hypo gene where as albinos are just 2 albino genes. That's the difference between sunglow and albino. Then there are sharps and kahls where sharps tend to hold their colors better. Of course there are exceptions. I have seen some really nicely colored non lipstick sunglows.

Oh also forgot, another way to tell an albino from sunglow is look at the tail. On an albino there will be a clear area between the red tail saddle and the white back color. A sunglow, the red saddle will directly touch the white back color, there will be no clear gap between the 2 colors.

BTW I do like that sunglow and the little cinnamon colored guy :)

Just kill each mouse and toss em to each boa. If they are both babies, 1 extra mouse wont hurt them.
