My sweetheart only showed OVY when i introduced a male in her enclosure today, male was spurring around her neck area and released a plug...i can only post pics on windows 8 pro, i'm on windows 7 right now... my ipod touch is only synced to windows 8 pro and that's what i took the picture with.....

has this ever happened, another lock from her brother today during OVY, gotta ruthless sweetheart right here....;)

Hmmmm this looks like a reasonable question/post and people can't find anything positive to reply with.... Guess i'll turn to GOOGLE for my answers.....

Your inability to not post something aggressive or at the very least passive aggressive, is the reason I don't answer your questions. Perhaps there are many others who feel the same. If you started conducting yourself in a respectful manner I would take my personal time to answer your questions as I do with the rest of the forum members. I don't see why I would take time out of my day to help someone who is going to insult me. Perhaps there are others who feel the same about this also. Be patient. Not everyone sits behind their keyboards scrolling through all the posts on this forum in a day. It once took I believe a couple days once for some to answer a question I had, and I was grateful for the help. Just because people don't reply within the hour doesn't mean it's because people don't have anything positive to say, so don't assume the worst.

And to answer your question, I've never heard of that happening to anyone, but I don't have the personal experience myself sooo

i could care the least about REP points on here so let the the NEGS keep coming....

There is plenty of good info for both the hobbyist and the caring pet owner on this site .... Oh and someone correct me if I'm wrong ... i hear the word stress sooooo much on this site, how would you feel if you were FREE and now your confined to a tub.... that is the most stress PERIOD....

Animals (mainly reptiles and inverts) do not feel like humans. They take no pleasure out of handling, and do not feel sad being called part of a hobby. Humans and reptiles do not have the same mental capacity, as cool as that would be.

if this site wasn't going to use my spot to keep off "spammers" then i would have been left this site because we don't see caring for animals the same way... pet AND hobbies ARE TWO DIFFERENT THING AND I DON'T BELIEVE IN KEEPING LIVING ANIMALS THAT'S BEEN DOING FINE WITHOUT OUR HELP AS HOBBIES....

Anyways you apparently stress them by keeping them in a tub, don't you?

No one ever said it wouldn't be stressful to live in a tub if you had been free before, but it's about making their life as comfortable as possible when keeping them as PETs.

And also, though it sounds very mean, but I guess that you don't get a snake that lived in the wild right before. From the rack to a big tub is a real big change, and every movement is stressful.

Are you referring to those fish tanks with sheets over them in your other picture post as custom enclosures? the fact of the matter is you have nothing relevant to share or gain from this place because you are unreceptive to what others say, all you do is screw around on here. maybe it's time for you to pack it in and go find a different forum to patronize.

There are many of us that bump heads here from time to time but as mature adults we usually put it behind us.
I am sure I can speak for others as well as myself when I say we all enjoy our time around here with each other.

Speaking as the owner (one of three, actually) of this site, I am quite happy to represent both the pet-keepers and hobbyist in the herping world. We're here to help people learn how to take care of their reptiles...period. Whether that is one pet reptile or a hundred or more. I've seen and read many of the posts/arguements you've started in the past and have bitten my tongue because I try to stay away from drama.
But honestly, you are acting a bit like a child. First of all, can you stop complaining about your "rep points" on here? Seriously? Do you honestly care that much about what a bunch of strangers on an online forum have to think of your rep? Does it have an effect on your day to day life? I know I sure as hell don't walk around thinking "man, I need to get my rep on that forum up." Stop worrying about things you have no control over, it's just an online forum.

Second, I don't understand why you keep even asking questions on here because if you don't get a reply in a timely manner or an answer that you want to hear, you argue and just proclaim that you are going to do what works best for you. If this is the attitude you are going to take, than don't waste your time asking people for help. I've seen people give you PLENTY of GOOD advice on how to care for your pets and you still stubbornly argue with them and accuse them of being the negative ones.

Third, i have completely gotten confused with the topic of this particular post. You went from asking a question to talking about pets vs hobbies and "spammers". What?
From my perspective, there's no difference in the two terms hobbies and pets. Ball pythons are my hobby and my snakes are my pets. The manner of keeping them doesn't change. They are given the same care and husbandry as they would if they were pets or breeding animals. The advice is relatively the same too. By breeding your animals, you are essentially a "breeder" thus meaning you are deeper into the hobby than the average pet owner. That really shouldn't matter when seeking advice on here. This is a forum for all reptile keepers, from the big breeders to the first time owners. Everyone receives the same advice and same intial respect when joining. If you don't have the courtesy to show respect to those more experienced keepers that are willing to give you advice, than don't expect it back.

I'm not even going to attempt to address the "spammers" you are talking about because I honestly don't know what you mean.

Good luck with your future breeding endeavors. If you are serious about receiving and implementing the help others are willing to give you, than I encourage you to continue to use this forum in a respectful manner. If you are going to continue having the attitude you do towards others on here and are going to continue to stir up trouble when you don't get what you want or hear what you want, than maybe this forum isn't the best place for you.

I think most of the hostility, especially the comments that we have nothing positive to say, goes back from your first few posts when you joined this form. To be blunt, from what I've seen the animals are not kept in the best condition that they do be. Nor do you appear to be open to suggestions or teachings about husbandry or breeding. That said, there has been some improvement in your husbandry. If you truly care for your animals that should be your focus. I know you are excited for your female, and that you think she is het for something. I very much want to appeal to your sense of responsibility here since it seems more like you want to prove us wrong than provide proper care for your animal. Focus on making their homes and their lives the absolute best, learn as much as you can about this hobby and the working of genetics. Then will be the time to start branching out. It's not too late to begin to provide good, proper husbandry to these animals. As of now your animals are suffering, but it can be fixed. You owe it to yourself to do so and they deserve it.
