Well said @Koko this is our house!my wife collects tarantulas and my son and I collect ball pythons I think we spend as much on food for them almost as much as we do for ourselves lol

Hubby let me get rats to breed...all was well until we had one pup too many and mom wouldn't take it back... Now we have a pet rat named Frankie who got handfed every two hours.

if we ignore what I spent setting up a pet rat cage with a hammock toys litter pan etc... Then it does work out to being cheaper "growing your own".... But sometimes crickets are found loose in the house. It's just a part of life now. I just scoop it up and dump it into the nearest Beardie tank.

So op, is that the biggest she has to get used to? Lol, once she's gtg, it's time to expand the collection!!

Ball pythons are just like potato chips...you can't have just one! Heck you can't just have a dozen! ;)

Always good to see people change their opinions/attitudes (even if slowly) towards snakes, or any animal for that matter :)

It's a large part of why I'm so proud of one of the kids in my Cub pack: when I took my snakes in to teach the kids, he backed away when I first took Manasa out, but still took me up on the offer to touch her later when I offered :gj:

My spouse was terrified of snakes.. He use to tell me ..u will have a snake ovr my dead body... Lol. He isnt dead..and he enjoys snakes now..
