I was told by hubby just one snake no more. That was my corn snake, then i took him to a reptile show, and he said only one more no more, so i got my first BP, A beautiful spinner blast boy. Well tommorrow i am buying a beautiful enchie firefly girl, and he said no more . I wonder how long it will take to change his mind, any bets.

I'm trying to get the courage to tell my mother that I got snakes. She has something against anything that is not a mammal and even then, if it takes responsabilities or can get sick she gets scared I'll end up an animal horder, at least thats the only thing I can think off...

I started by being a temporary home, sat one and got my own in oct. Last year. Yesterday I jumped that number to 5 BPs and 1 boa. I'm getting more BPs in spring (very least one) and got another boa I'm stalking though I really don't know since I want to have them (boa) in tanks an only have space for one of 'em... I wont be surprised if I end up with a cornsnake, or hognose, or ....

Wow, I'm visiting an expo here soon for another baby, to 3.

Around me I only have 3 expos a year, where are you at where there's so many?
Portland area here, though I travel to Seattle for that third expo!

There are only 2-3 expos that have reptiles where I am. But I got lucky on the "second-hand" market. Also reptile petshop (though that one did not survive Im getting a replacement in spring)

Easy way to slow yourself down is to remember to quarantine incoming snakes.
Minimum of 90 days can really make you think about what to add.:gj:

That works! (In the other hand cause of the 90d quarantine I add 4-7 in the same time. Two times per year... :weirdface)

I missed the last Repticon Reno to be held due to my father having a heart attack. Now they don't have them any more... and as far as I know, there aren't any reptile shows within an eight hour drive of where I live, now. So all of my snakes are purchased online - and it's too cold here in the high desert of Nevada to have them shipped during the winter. So I'm sitting around waiting for warmer weather so I can receive the ones I've already paid for! And still trying to talk myself out of that Pastel het. Pied pair...

Lol i wish this was my case i have a cheap setup that can quarantine up to 9 snakes. Another setup will only cost me in tubs which would be $28. The only thing that slowed me down was winter. I got 16 just this year . I only have 2-3 small reptiles shows here a year also but i found an online breeder i really like. Also i might hit up Tinley this year as it is only a couple hours away.
