How long do you handle your BPs for?

How long do you guys usually handle your BPs for? How much handling would be too much? I've had my little prince Osiris for a little over a week now and he had eaten the second day I had him. The past few days I've held him for about 15 minutes at a time. I always wanna hold him though.

I would say don't hold him for more than 20 minutes at a time

I hold him maybe 30 minutes when I clean his tub (once a week), and every few days I try to pick him up for 15. Any other time its not more then 5 and not everyday.

My friends snake is very stressed so I only pick her up when I cleab her tub, though I do poke her and check her as much as I can everyday, just to make sure she's ok. On a good day I can pick her up for 15 minutes, she gets more relaxed (maybe?) After actually getting her in hand.

I hold mine 15-20 minutes at a time, then get them back in the heat. Less if the room is cold. I don't handle the day of feedings, a couple of days after feedings, and if they are in shed.

It depends on the snake, some I hold for only a few minutes, just long enough to check them out for problems and some I can hold for several hours at a time. The younger the snake the shorter amount of time I hold them for, the only snakes that I hold for hours are adults. When doing a show I never keep an animal out for longer then two hours.

I have a hatchling, 3 months old, 114g, and I'll get her out for 5-20 minutes almost daily. Some days I'm too busy, and I don't bother her for at least 24 hours after she eats... sometimes 48 hours.

I think it depends on the snake (too). Some can tolerate very long handling with no issues, some are more sensitive.

I just go by whatever I feel like, but generally anywhere between 2 minutes~1 hour a day or every other day. I skip days when I'm busy or just don't feel like it. :P Not constantly holding them, but counting sitting on my lap as "handling" too.

Pretty much never lol...On cleaning days I look at every snake for a few minutes for inspection to make sure of no issues other than that I leave them be. My normal Chaos on the other hand I have handled up to an hour and that is usually when we take him to school for show and tell. He will come out from time to time for 15 minutes or so also when my 8 year old wants to hold him. Other than that he is left alone.

Holding time depends on the snake and how comfortable it is with you at that period in time. 15 minutes may be good with him one day and the next he will only tolerate 5. I have one female that one day she will try and kill me the next she will be nudging me gently as if she wants to be picked up lol.

I'll handle Popeye as long as he lets me. He's super calm, so can generally take 2-3 hours if it's not too cold. But I don't handle him on feeding day or 2 days after, or when he is in shed.

But I agree that it depends on the snake. Like humans, they are all different, and so can all tolerate different amounts of handling. It also depends on how much the snake was initially handled, as they will adapt to that.

Mine only let me hold them 5 - 10 minutes because they dying to explore and climb around, so I let them play for 30 minutes to an hour. None of them are babies.

I hold mine for maybe 30-1hr about 1-2 times a week. She stays in her hide most of the time so i just lift her hide and take her out that way. She doesn't seem to ball up after or anything so I'm assuming shes okay with me doing it? It seems like most people on here only takes their bp out only when they're out and about in their cage.

I'm guilty of this to. But Popeye doesn't seem to mind at all. If he struck at me or hissed, then I'd not do it, but he doesn't protest, so I take it that he doesn't really mind.
