Morelia and Antaresia! (Carpet and Children's pythons)
I'm also developing a thing for sand boas.

Re: Other than ball pythons
I think carpets are too nice of a display snake to be housed in racks :). Maybe try a colubrid like a kingsnake or bull snake.
Re: Other than ball pythons
D'oh! I failed reading comprehension about the rack when I suggested carpets.
My spotted python, however, would probably be happy in a rack. She spends most of her time hiding, and could completely ignored the jungle gym she had for a while.

Definitely disagree with this. Most of the colubrids I've kept have been very happy in their rack systems through several different generations over the past 30 years. Corn snakes, King snakes and Milk snakes do very well in rack systems.

Shrug.
It would break my heart to think of my kings stuck in a rack. They are out and about for hours at a time, just climbing around and exploring. They also peer out and watch what is going on in the room.
Re: Other than ball pythons
Love my Children's python. He is a good feeder and is consistently "out" and doesn't hide, which makes him a great display snake. I have kept him in a rack in the past, though.
