Burns, red dots, skin problems, and fasting? Personally, I wouldn't pay money for someone else's problems.

Yeah, definitely not. You're asking for trouble, and you want as an enjoyable and stress free time as you can get with your first BP. I recommend buying captive bred from a breeder. You'll get a healthy, feeding, beautiful snake, and often for less money than they ask for at the pet stores.

definately not. Go to www.constrictors.com and email Mike Wilbanks, He is really nice, and has quality animals for good prices. I think they are 50-75$ including shipping (wich is 30$). I got one from him and I am really satisfied.

I have a feeling that the original poster lives outside of the United States. If so, shipping from Mike would probably be closer to a few hundred dollars (at least, depending on where it's going), after you factor in CITES permits and the overseas cargo charges.

Finding local breeders outside of the United States is tough, but certainly possible. Ozone, what country are you from, maybe someone can point you in a better direction than a pet store?

Oh, I thought he was in the US or Canada. Well, if you are in the US or CA he is good to buy from.

Canada would be the same. It's illegal to use an overnight carrier like UPS or FedEx to ship a ball python to Canada.

Dont support pet stores that treat their pets badly.
If people continue to buy goods from inhumane stores, you are helping that store stay in business and they will continue to buy and sell sick or hurt animals.
Give your business to the companies that deserve it.

$300? You arent talking American are you?
A breeder with 30 years sounds a lot better then a pet store with an injured snake.
Hope ya got a good deal. :)

Adult female ball pythons are selling for anywhere between $250 and $650 (maybe even more) this time of year.

true, 61 centemeters most likely isnt an adult though

I wonder why some one would pay $650 for an adult... is it just to get breeding started quick?

I would rather raise my own baby that buy a female for almost 700$, heck, why dont you just save 500more dolars and get a pastel?

Adult females are going for that much because you can breed an adult female to a pinstripe, butter, or lesser platinum and potentially produce babies valued at over $20,000 each in less than 6 months.

$700 for an adult girl is relatively cheap if you have the right breeder sized males to put her with.

eh in cyprus all is for expensive than other countrys. and yes is 150.00 CYP
    Cyprus Pounds = 346.580 USD
    United States Dollars
    1 CYP = 2.31054 USD 1 USD = 0.432800 CYP

this breeder breed only burmese pythons no bp. and doesn't recomend me to buy bp coz bp has care level 2 :) and am beginer. but i don't think is hard to care bp if you read many theads or tutorials. we have forum we can ask lot of questions! he told me bp needs very good camuflash in terrarium with right temps coz he may stop eating for a while and having trouble with his health.

I have no camoflauge, but i have three hide boxes. That should be enough

BP's are very easy to care for. They were my first snake and they are very healthy.

As long as you get a CBB ( captive bred and born) then you should not have a problem with the snake not eating.

Uh.. this breeder isn't trying to get you to buy a burmese python, is he? Those certainly are NOT a beginner's snake. I may have misunderstood though..

EDIT: oops.. when you said bp there, you meant Burmese Python, and not Ball Python, didn't you? I should just be quiet.. lol
