Animal Plastics
Hi! I have been looking at AP racks (for my possible breeding plans ;)). I have three questions (so far). How much is shipping? How long does it take, on average? Is it worth it?
-
I just now read the actual page so, I know how much shipping is. Sorry about that, I'm not the sharpest person. :D

to the last question i have heard good things about them, to the first 2 questions i would suggest you ask them to their people as people on the forums cant see where you are from right now and that can factor into the cost of freight. also the model you chose could greatly change the shipping cost econo racks weigh less and would likely be cheaper then the non econo ones.

Re: Animal Plastics
I recently bought an AP rack. I like it but it could be easier to put together and had a small hot spot temp problem. But that was easily fixed, I would recommend them but be prepared to put the rack together yourself. Good luck!
Edit: I forgot to add that it took about 8 weeks to arrive

if it helps, I live near Atlanta, GA.

on the shipping you need to ask the seller how long it would take the shipment keep in mind its an estimate and not a guaranty.

I don't have any of their products, but have been saving up for some stuff. I have heard the following about AP...
1. About all of there stuff takes around 8-10 weeks to get to you from when you place the order, except for the stuff they have listed as "quick ship" which takes about 2-3 weeks. I think part of this is because they make/customize the parts for your particular order once you place it.
2. Their customer service is top notch (which for me, goes a long way these days).
3. Never heard of any complaints from folks who have purchased and are using AP racks or enclosures.
Don't know if that will help at all, but these three things along with their products being easy to look at have made me want to give them my business.

Re: Animal Plastics
Don't have any AP racks but I do have 3 of their enclosures and they're definitely top notch. With that said, the production times are slow but if you're willing to wait, they do have a great product and customer service.
If you want something with a quicker ship time, look into Reptile Basics racks. I believe they're made out of the similar (if not identical) material. Their products are also high grade and I trust them as well.

Re: Animal Plastics
If you live near Atlanta I would recommend you to buy your racks from Chris at C-Serpents, he does all the Repticon Atlanta shows, has great products and amazing customer service and you save on shipping as he delivers to the show.
The next show is in 2 weeks.
AP lead time is usually 10 to 12 weeks, rack do not includes tubs and you have to pay shipping, which on some products can be very expensive.

I've seen him at shows and considered buying from him in the past but, seeing as I want to buy a rack for 6 - 8 snakes, his prices are kind of out of my range. $600 for a 10 tub, 41 qt rack is extremely over my price range. I almost bought a 3 tub, 41 qt last show but, I didn't and I didn't plan on breeding then so, spending $245 on 3 tubs then buying an AP rack anyway seems kind of ridiculous. He does have very nice racks, though.

Actually he is cheaper than AP a 10 slots 41 quarts rack at AP will cost $650 not including tubs (Tubs are $10 each another $100) and that type of rack must be shipped via freight I am in GA too and they quoted me over $150
C-Serpents can make you a 6 or 8 slots rack if that is the side you need and the tubs are also superior.
AP 6 tubs will run $390 + $26 (you do want those casters) + $75 + $60 in tubs = $551
If you are thinking about the economy 41 quarts from AP, I will advise against it (I made that mistake when I first started), it is cheap but it is very wobbly as well (the other economy racks are fine just not the 41 quarts).
A lot to take in consideration when you add rack price, shipping and having to spend more money on tubs, racks are not cheap but one way to look at it is how long they will last.
