Thoughts on my setup?
Hi, I just recently got my first BP (and just snake in general) as a surprise Christmas present, and i was wondering what others thoughts were on my setup? Right now the cage is just sitting on the floor, but will soon be moved to a better place. (Like i said, my little Kyouki was a surprise and i didn't have anywhere prepared yet.)
One other question, how long will it take to get used to the new area? I know they won't eat if they are stressed or don't feel comfortable, but how long should i wait to feed him again? (The pet store said that feeding time was on Thursday and that was when i got the guy/girl nt sure of the gender yet) And i tried to feed them last night but they wouldn't eat which got me worried..
Side note: The temperature on one end is at about 91F and the other is about 80F, with the humidity at 60%

Sweet so your gift took you by surprise lol it happens. Your set up looks nice ? Do you have a under the tank heat mat ?? If you do and don't have one yet you will need a Thermostat for that, without one your Kyouki can get burned. As Far as eating wait until he gets settled in hes under stress from the move. On your tank when its all clear like that it can stress Kyouki maybe get some foil and block the back and the side's from him seeing out. There's a great thread that will help you understand settings things up, I apologize Im using my phone and get figure out how to link you I will figure that out some day lol . This is a great forum and folks can always help you so ask away and CONGRATS ... I Like the size of your tank and looks like your doing good on your temperature and Humidity.

Definitely second the temp gun, I got one from Lll Reptile for I think $20. A heat mat on a thermostat is also a priority. As for blocking the sides, I used foil on two sides of my male's tank to both black out an hold in heat and it works like a charm. I would suggest that and cluttering it up. Added bonus cluttering it up can be fun and makes it pretty!

Re: Thoughts on my setup?
Wow, thank you for your advice! As for the heating mat/pad i need to get one, unfortunately for me where i live right now the roads are icy so i might not be able to get one today, but as soon as i am able to get one i defiantly will, as well as a thermostat for it and I'll see if the pet store has a temperature gun! This is all a new experience for me, so again thanks for the tips! As for covering the sides, I have done that with white copy paper, was that a mistake? Should i use foil instead?

Re: Thoughts on my setup?
I second the digital thermometers (preferably one on each side of the enclosure) so you know your ambient temperatures. A temp gun will only give you surface temperature which is good, but in my opinion ambient temps are more important.

Ok, so I had a few more things to add but didn't have time to do it at work, so here it goes.
In regards to the thermometers, digital is a more accurate than the analog ones you have right now. Additionally, you want to make sure that the thermometers read the temperature where your snake actually spends the most time (meaning on the bottom of the enclosure). I'd suggest getting two digital thermostats. One for the "hot" side and one for the "cool" side. That way you will know exactly what the ambient temps are on each side of the terrarium and adjust accordingly.
I'd also recommend adding more fake plants so your BP has places to hide when he/she comes out to explore. Other than that, your enclosure looks great!
Here's the thermometer that I personally have in my enclosures which cost about $10 bucks at my hardware store (Lowes):
