Such an awesome day!!!

I had such a good day today. I drove down to San Clemente to see some of my buddies from high school. I spent the day at the beach laying in the sun, watching my friends surf, and drinking beers. Then we watched a beautiful sunset. And I'm on winter break from work, so I don't even have to work tomorrow. Life is good! Just wanted to share. :)

I don;t have anything at all I have to do for two weeks cause I'm on vacation for school!

Same here, I teach school so I'm off for 2 weeks.

Yes getting this break after a long semister was a really good thing. Im still enjoying myself and i just made 150 dollars tonight in black jack. :)

I just got a hundred dollars for an early x-mas present....hmm...I wonder what I could spend it on over the break....oh yes, cage thermometers!!

That sounds fun....I too have nothing to do over the break.

I have a snow day today, (The humane society is able to close easily due to inclamite weather) ah the joys of no longer working in hospitals or retail. Whoopie!!
My son is off to so I think I'll have to perfect some snow angel art today!

We have a frigid day going on today (the temps are around 1 degree Farenheit) so I just want to cuddle up at home and relax!
Gen, I am envious of your ability to lay on the beach, on the same day that I have to continually stop typing to rub circulation back into my cold little fingers!

Hah ya it was 13 degrees F last night here, that was fun walking out to my car in that weather. im definitly not a cold weather person, unless im snowboarding or riding the quad. Other then that i hate hate hate cold weather!!

Brrr. It is 0 degrees and WINDY. Send some of that well wishing my way, huh? I found out I don't have any health insurance for the spring semster through the university unless in enroll in 6 on campus hours. I'm trying to see what can be done. :(

Im normally a fall/winter kinda guy, but a beer and a warm beach sounds REAL good right about now...

Ya the same thing is happening to me because i can't go full time next semister. Besides just taking the amount of classes they require to be covered there really isn't much you can do. You can try and pay for an insurance plan but they are usually pretty expensive. i currently have no insurence. :(

Yeah, I'm currently wondering if it would cost me less if I audit a class to make 6 hours and never go to the thing. I need to be insured, but I can't take 2 classes, one of which being a really tough engineering class I failed and work 40 hours a week.

I'm trying to work out something with the co-op office, but nobody is there right now. And the company doesn't offer health benefits to co-ops.

Ya its really anoying situation. What you can do is liek you said sign up for the full time classes and then once you get the slip of them showing they see you as full time and cover you, cancel the class and it should work till next semister when they check again on student status.

Yeah, I had an awesome, relaxing time. It's days that when I feel really lucky to live in SoCal. I'm really not a winter/cold weather person. I'm planning to go back down to see my friends again on Thursday, hopefully the weather will stay so nice. Maybe another beach trip will be in order. :)

Private/Catholic School. I work my but off ten times as hard as any of my friends that go to public schools, atleast i get an extra week off in return.

Sounds like we're all in the same boat, 'cept mine is a nice 12 hour shift on Christmas day itself! Yup, 6:30am to 6:30pm. And dont even get me started on New Years ... grrr :evil:

Wow, that sucks. At least at my job I get to work with herps. (doesn't mean I don't want to go home after awhile though. lol)

I actually got New Years day off! I didn't even have to ask for it. There's a reptile show that day I want to go to..

I have the 24th through the 27th off and the 31st through the 3rd....but that's cuz I took the 27th and 3rd off without pay (don't have enough time accrued yet)....but it's worth an extra day each weekend. Wish I was still in school, I used to live for vacation time. To think, I couldn't wait to be done...those were the days!
