It was a dark and stormy night... My new girl.

ok, i teased all of u yesterday with a preview of this lil girl and ok, i thought that i got my last BP of the year late last month. well, that turned out to be untrue. i got the 3 on my list that i wanted for sure – Albino, Pied and Orange Dream. (not in that order.) and then i got more. i did believe that i could hold out between Thanksgiving and the New Year. but imma full-blown addict lol.

so when i saw this baby, i knew i had to have her. she’s an early Christmas present from me to me! she’s a unicorn but really she’s a high-paradox Mojave x Butter BEL. her baby pictures are here on the forum from CD Constrictors. one of her baby pix is in the BPOM gallery. she’s darken up some and doesn’t have the pronounced two-face anymore. but here she is – the lil cutie a year later.

(these photos were taken this morning before work with my phone do not do her justice at all. she’s stunning in person. her paradoxing is a rich brown color with gold patterning and highlights. she’s gold, not yellow and her brown has an irredecense. and my phone camera cannot get her eyes right. anyway it was still very cloudy and i had to turn on the lights to get these photos. i will need to get a light box and better camera for sure.)

anyway this is my Elphaba 2.0. i named this little beauty Rain.

I gotta pick your brain on this one. I thought pied meant any pattern involving the absence of pigment, hanse the white. What is Paradox?? School me cause I love this look!

she's the nicest snake too! she was handled regularly by adults and children with the previous owner. Rain is so calm, so cool. i drove through a dark and stormy night into the suburbs for her. the owner almost backed out of the sale. i picked her up last Thursday, 12/17. lol i wanted to pick her up as soon as possible before the owner changed her mind again.

paradoxing is random coloring and/or patterning on a BP. the difference between paradox and a pied is that paradoxing can happen on any morph and the biggest difference is that is in not genetically inheritable. it's supposedly totally random.

i'm still 2-3 years out from breeding. i've raised all my mine from hatchlings so i gotta grow them. i will be planning OD, REL, Panda/false Panda aka Dark Matter, Pied projects, etc.

Edit: also i wonder if Rain came from a line of Gold Blush Mojaves. her pattern as belly has gold coloring. gotta prove it out i guess.

Anyway, literally the best kind of paradox. So epic.

Today has been a rough day for me on this forum.....so many ppl posting pictures of incredible looking snakes is making me want moreeeee! come on guys, can we try and space some of these crazy sexy pick-ups out a little...you guys are testing my self-control and with every new pic i can feel myself getting closer to giving in!

i created the Paradox thread in the Morphs & Genetics forum while i was in conversation for the sale of this beautiful girl. she was local, just outside my city.

anyway i want u to take pix of Rain for me. ;) (at least give me tips.)

@corey - and i still cannot believe she belongs to me now. :) BTW was she golden as a baby? her dark is really shimmery and her yellow is really golden. i'll have to take proper pix and post them.
