    Disinfectant for racks and tubs
Just wondering what others use to disinfect and clean their tubs and racks. I currently have my snakes in 41 q sterolite tubs in a homemade xpvc rack. Just wondering what others use to clean similar set ups.

I use Dawn dishwashing liquid diluted to 5:1 solution concentration. From the "Healthykin" website I order a f10 generic antituberculocidal, virucidal, bacteriocidal and fungicidal spray called Cavicide.

I use this for routine cleaning of tubs and snake room surfaces http://www.amazon.com/Chlorhexidine-...=chlorhexidine

Tubs also get bleached once or twice a year.

Green Works and Simple Green are two different things. Green Works is an all purpose cleaner that's less toxic and more environmentally conscious.

F10SC for everyday disinfecting after cleaning.

Straight ammonia which sits for 24 hours for disinfecting any used enclosures I purchase since chlorine bleaches, oxygen bleaches, F10, and chlorhexidine don't kill cryptosporidium.

Where can someone purchase f10sc? And do you use this for every cleaning? I am a little anal and clean the entire rack twice a week even if not needed. Gives me am excuse to get away with my oldest daughter and talk as we clean and handle the pets.

+1 I use the exact same stuff. It has a short life after mixed with water so I only make about a week's worth at a time. You can get the f10 from reptile basics

I am going to order that stuff from amazon. Do you rinse down the entire tub after you use it, or is it safe once dry to the snakes?

    Ditto to this.

Though a little goes a long way in diluting and I no longer buy it by the gallon as it would expire before I could use it all. Now I get smaller quantities from the local feed store.

According to reptile basics they mix 1oz per gallon of water. I usually just fill a spray bottle half way and add a cap full. This usually lasts me around two weeks.

1 OZ (2 tablespoon) per gallon.

I use a syringe to measure and mix 3.75 ml per 32 oz spray bottle.
