    Dracos' New Baby
A couple weeks ago Dracos and I were at Captive Bred Specialties, and Dracos saw a red-tailed boa. It stuck in his head. Friday we went back and brought him home. Introducing Fezzik:

He's a hypo het for albino, born the first week of August. He's a very calm docile boy. On Friday we held him, looked around some more, and asked to see him again. They had to partially dismantle the cage background to get him out, and when they handed him to me said he was cranky about it. Not that I noticed - at least not compared to my carpet pythons when they get crabby. [emoji3]

Brought Fezzik home and settled him in to an enclosure (which one of the BP's had just vacated to move into half a T8). At first he wasn't using hides, but yesterday morning I found a size/style he likes better.

We also picked up a lightly used 2' X 3' X 17" Vision cage for $100. Couldn't pass that up! It's currently in storage until somebody grows into it and/or we make space for it - just have to get our son to move out so we can make his room the library/office, and complete the snake takeover of the living room. Fezzik was absolutely unafraid of Gimli the beagle, in fact, we're pretty sure he was *hunting* Gimli. Which will be a problem some day, but today is not that day.

I'm afraid its been a while since I posted, Fezzik is growing nicely, and still a sweetie.

Fezzik moved into his T10 earlier this year, and yesterday I got a picture of him out for a climb - not the first time he's used it, just the first pictures.

Fezzik's T10 is up at the top of the stack, so it can sometimes be challenging to get a good look at him, and I've been taking the warnings about not over-feeding boas to heart. I made Dracos get him out last night so I could get a good look at him.

I think Fezzik looks pretty good, taller than he is wide, rounded top. Hard to get good pictures of body shape, though.

It's just about Fezzik's second birthday, so time to stretch feedings out to three weeks, correct?

Nice little hypo you have there! I've also got a male hypo that is living in a T10 with shelf... But my AP cage is black. :D Boas are just awesome. Definitely my favorites in terms of personality.

    Agreed and agreed.

I love my BCI, Behira. She is an ivory ghost (so hypo anery). She’s beautiful, but in a subtle way.

If I didn’t get her, I was getting a hypo for sure. So pretty and they really pop!

No regrets though. Behira is totally awesome. She’s my first BCI and I love her to pieces.

Great personality. And not shy at all. Wasn’t used to that after having BP’s.

Anyway. Gorgeous BCI and keep us posted on his progression.

Thank you, everyone! He’s such a sweet, mellow boy, especially compared to my Morelia, who are always on the move.

They just seem to mature and get that nice chunky head that boas are known for, there head always seems small for a few years
