Do you see closer to the back end how all his alien heads and colors in general are dark and stand out except that ONE faded patch? It's my recent most favorite discovery lol

Alien heads is one of the more common terms for the lighter patterned part on a BP. I've also seen them called ghosts, and less commonly rosettes.

    Here's a helpful glossary!

I have a black pewter yellow belly with that. It isn't that abnormal. But it is definitely cool looking.

I wonder if it's the cinnamon that does it, because my girl is a cinnapin and she's just got the one spot about the size of my thumb print.

Its start of a ringer, just didn't go far enough to turn white. Cinnamons seem to have them more often than other morphs.

Buddy of mine has a cinny line that tends to throw ringers quite a bit, out of the 20 or so cinny offspring I have seen of his at least 5 of them had a ringer of some sort. His founding male doesn't have a ringer.

A complete guess, but I think the "ringer trait" might be a polygenetic trait like fader or whiteout and such. Just based off the seemly random nature of it. Never seen someone post data on it, we always seem to just say "it happens".

I hope his offspring have some sign of it. I love it. I guess weird things fascinate me

Well the one I have (previous post picture) as I have said is a black pewter yellow belly (Black pastel / Pastel / Yellow belly) not cinnamon. I know black pastel and cinnamon are very close though but they are very different. I highly doubt that it is the start of a ringer that didn't completely form because these faded patches are very common in pewters and never have I seen a pewter with a full blown ringer. It is just a pattern that is random, kind of like patches on a piebald, you never know where the patches will be and how much.

See, you say the word polygenetic, and now I have a burning desire to develop that and prove it out, lol.
