Weird thing(s) your snake enjoys?
I was just wondering if anybody else had something their snake oddly enjoys which you wouldn't of thought, and what's the backstory to it? Little backstory for mine- My corn snake is 3+ feet long, in a 40 gallon with bark type bedding. He's always had a abundance of hides to use but never used them just rather burrow into his bark on his coldest side and stay there. (No matter the time of the year he just rather be cold) I like to dabble with household items and use them as extras for my snakes if they need it while a item is being cleaned etc. Earlier that week I bought some lucky charms and on the day I finished it, I cut the flaps and made sure no sharpish edges were on it, took out his $30 hide and put it in there. Ever since then he is always in it, even when feeding he enjoys eating in his box. His other hide just goes to waste since he rarely ever leaves except for water, or just cruising his cage at night. Never thought my corn snake would fall in love with a $2 cereal box as a hide. Isn't the coolest looking hide, but if he loves it he can promote it all he wants lol.

I made a hide out of a cut and sanded foldgers coffee container (plastic) and he refuses to spend any time in his other hide or his old one that I bought for $25.

Re: Weird thing(s) your snake enjoys?
My Albino sticks his whole head in the water when he drinks and my Normal girl loves to climb on top of her terrarium and pretend that she's a Green Tree Python.

My Bp loves to climb on the hydrometer/thermometer combo I have in her tank.
This used to work fine when she was a small little thing, but now she's much bigger and the hydrometer is only attached by velcro. So now everytime I stick it back on that night I'll hear a slow ripping noise followed by a "thunk" as she and the hydrometer fall down. But she still climbs up there every single time.

My male bp loves mirrors and watching his reflection, so I let him hang out when I do my make up a lot, and my baby girl likes climbing in her fake plants auction cupped onto the tank (she'll be sad when she gets big haha)

Dunking the whole head into the water is pretty funny.

Ever think that maybe your current hide doesn't help the snake feel secure? A lot of commercial hides are much too tall.

My Bairds Rat Snake female likes to balance on her tail and have over half of her body crawling upside down on the screen lid.

My BP purposely dunks his rat pups in his water dish, even when on the other side of the tank, he takes them to the water dish.

My BP likes to dangle from his stick in order to drink from the water dish. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...da89d90da3.jpg
He also loves playing with my girlfriends glasses and burrowing in hair.

Re: Weird thing(s) your snake enjoys?
Oh dear, where to start?! Marshall really seems to enjoy chin rubs. He is not head shy whatsoever and will actually lean in if I rub his cheek or chin gently. He loves climbing so much that I upgraded his tank to the biggest exo terra. He is never really in a ball, but much prefers to spread his body across the length of his cage. He loves wrapping around cold drinks. Slurpees, water, beer cans, and even bourbon. He always tries to go inside drinks too, but I don't let him lol. He likes to explore the table. When I am sitting at the table eating or coloring or whatever, he explores every object that is on the table yet he never attempts to leave the table. When he eats, he can be pretty stupid about it. For example, yesterday when feeding him it took him about 30 minutes to find his rat, even though it was right in front of him. He searched frantically all over his cage to find it, it was so funny. He finally found it and ate it. He's definitely an interesting one...

The only thing I can think of that Noodles consistently loves to do is go into my hair... Every time I have her out she climbs up my shoulder and usually curls up into a ball and nestles into my hair. Most of the time she'll lay her head down behind my ear and fall asleep. :)

Re: Weird thing(s) your snake enjoys?
The hides I were using were secure, and not too big compared to the cereal box which is a family sized cereal box by the way lol. I got a ball python 3 days ago and he's following the weirdest habit of all my snakes except for my orange ghost ball python. They all seem to prefer the coldest part of their cage. He's laying in the coldest part of his cage(temped it and it's 75~) when he has a nice area on the other side that has 85+. My hognose does the same she is always on her cold side, even my bearded dragons go away from their warm sides to just chill in their cold spots. The warm sides aren't too warm either they just enjoy the cold for some reason. Maybe they need a cereal box to stop like them like my corn snake ;P.

And it isn't like to cool down their body, they just stay there for days. Even if I move them they just go back there regardless. Trust me, I've made sure it's nothing dangerous about the heat. They're just weirdos.

When I take one of mine out, he looks around a little bit before settling down on my shoulder and resting his head somewhere on my face. Usually my nose. Every single time.

Weird thing(s) your snake enjoys?
Many years ago when my Albino Royal had a RI ... I treated it with a portable nebuliser . I put the nebuliser in a small viv and set it going and then added the Royal and left it in there for 20 minutes ...anyway each time I went to get the snake out it was tightly wrapped AROUND the vigorously vibrating nebuliser !!
