    Cutest species of snakes
So I really don't know a lot about snakes yet other than what I've learned from here about BPs and, to a small extent, some other constrictors.

I'd like to learn about more species of snakes but there are just so many! So, in an attempt to narrow down the number of possible species to learn about, I thought maybe focusing on a broad trait might be a good way to start.

I chose cuteness because it's a substantial part of what drew me to snakes in the first place. I thought Brazilian Rainbows were so cute and sweet looking (as well as gorgeous but I don't think "beautiful snakes" would narrow anything down at all), but when I learned about the high maintenance they require to keep, I looked to BPs as my first snake. Seeing their puppy faces and little periscopes totally sold me on them.

So, maybe list your favorite "cute" snakes or just your top favorite one?

Pictures of your snakes being cute are definitely allowed/encouraged :D

Immense size aside, I actually think anacondas have cute faces. ...something to do with the eyes more towards the top of the head?

Sand boas also qualify as cute.

Cutest picture I've seen was on TRR of a young boa biting his owners elbow. Heart melting pictures. Awh. Can't find it again though to share.

I agree with rufous beaked snake. They're adorable! If they weren't rear-fanged venomous, I would get one. In terms of species that are possible to keep without worrying about venom, I like Taiwanese beauty snakes and leucistic Texas rats. The Taiwanese beauty snakes have a really cool eye stripe and the leucistic Texas rats just look so... innocent. Especially the bug eyed ones.

I'd say Royals were the cutest by some way ...their beautiful faces / head shape ... No fan of the extreme faded / washed out ones , though .

    Albino Royals rule !!

Thanks for all the input, guys! I love the Taiwanese beauty and rufous beaked!

I agree with everyone who said hognoses too. I'll admit that since I heard about that original albino hognose being found here in Lubbock I've kind of wanted to go out looking for hoggies in the outskirts of town  as if I would know how to find snakes... I'm sure they're not out now anyways, what with the cold.

I think my brazilian rainbow boa is the cutest and, honestly, she's the easiest of my snakes to care for! Big water bowl on the warm side and cypress mulch and she has perfect humidity in her tub :)

King snakes head markings and colouration are probably the most beautiful but cute is kinda different isn't it ??

It's all about taste and opinion :)

I'm not particularly interested in having Hoggies myself, but they are awfully cute. If we ever had show up in the state park I work at, I'd probably squee. :D

BPs in second in my book.

The only correct answer is rubber boas.
    Or calabar pythons.

Anery sand boas are also up there.

Personally I also think the "dwarf Bitis" vipers are adorable. I'd love to have a dwarf puff adder if I were legally allowed to.
